We just got over a really bad virus with high fevers and body aches chills and coughs congestion and conjunctivitis!!! We had it all. Lasted a few weeks long over winter break and unfortunately our holidays weren’t as happy as I’d have liked them to be.
We made the best of it but the kids had it first then thankfully they got better before mommy got it. I’m thankful I was able to be well and care for my babies while they were sick. Sometimes when kids have a fever breastmilk and Pedialyte popsicles is all they can keep down.
I am forever grateful that I still have milk for my little one especially during times like this. I snapped this Vlog on the tail end of my daughters illness when she was finally starting to feel better.
The antibodies from the breastmilk helped her heal, and the Pedialyte popsicles and breastmilk kept her hydrated throughout her illness. We kicked the virus out and are finally getting back to optimal health.
A few of the children from her school ended up in the hospital because of this virus. Luckily, mommy’s power milk and nurture was able to keep my daughters healthy enough that they were able to kick the virus without any outside help.
It’s important to remember that the use of antibiotics for viruses don’t work and can only strengthen the virus and weaken the antibiotic so always make sure to get a doctors opinion on whether or not you need antibiotics.
The overuse of antibiotics has made them less effective for people who really need them, and makes viruses and bacteria stronger when they are not taken correctly . Please always follow your doctors orders when taking antibiotics or administering them to your family so that we can keep the antibiotics strong for when they are actually needed and so that they will continue to work for the rest of our lives and our children’s lives.
It’s scary how many antibiotic resistant infections there are out there now because of this, so I would like to be an advocate to remind you only use antibiotics when they’re absolutely necessary and under the use of a doctor and take the recommended course the full treatment the way you’re supposed to so that it can fully eradicate the bacteria infection and kill all the bad bugs in order to not strengthen the bacteria and render antibiotics useless.
Remember, our bodies are incredible and have the strength to heal themselves. The power of belief in its own is incredible.
We have the power within ourselves to heal our bodies. Let’s all love and take care of one another so we can keep mother earth, thriving, and our family safe and well.
