"It's not like I have any hope of turning back," Danielle replied as her shoes clacked, "I'm still the same old Daniel, just a lot hotter." Dr. Stewart chuckled as he handed her a clipboard. She thanked him, flipped the flag to the examination room, and entered.
Mind transferring technology rocked much of the world, but what was not expected was the impact on the medical field. Suddenly, doctors around the world could swap with their patients, which would give them much more insight than simple descriptions of their symptoms. Dr. Daniel Garcia was one of the first to integrate this technology into his treatment plans. Being able to feel the symptoms granted him his massive diagnosis success rate at the clinic, which he started with his peer, Dr. Shea Stewart.
Personally, Daniel hated swapping with women; the sensations of their bodies were always so alien to him, but he decided that a little discomfort was acceptable to help others. Today, a beautiful woman with long, pastel pink hair sat on the treatment table, complaining of a few ailments. After a bit of back and forth, Daniel decided that a swap would be the best way to figure out what was wrong. He led the young woman to the transfer room and stepped into the parallel booth, bracing himself.
He let out his breath as his vision returned and stepped from the booth, feeling the jiggle of his chest and ass. "I see what you mean," he told the woman now in his body, "This is a classic sinus infection, we'll get you on antibiotics." He wrote a few things into his computer and turned back to his body. "Hop back in and you'll be good to go," he told her and prepped the transfer. He made his way back into the booth, relieved not to have to spend any more time in this soft body, and initiated the trade. He closed his eyes, feeling the hum and then... nothing. His eyes shot open and glanced down to see that he still had cleavage.
Being one of the first to adopt the tech meant he was accepting the risk; for instance, too many swaps too often makes it permanent. Now stuck in a body that could make a living on a pole, he, or rather she, had to get used to it, including the skepticism of a 22-year-old bombshell having an MD as well as 10 years of experience. The first few weeks were the hardest, both mentally, physically, and bureaucratically. Once Dr. Danielle Garcia was recognized by the government, the new woman had decided to return to work.
"Good morning, I'm Dan-Danielle," she stuttered, the name still sharp in her mouth, "What can I do for you today?"
