Chapter 244: Soul Tower
🕑 Added 2025-04-08 03:34:10 +0000 UTCWhat appeared in front of the students was a tower-shaped building.
It was about a kilometer high, and the whole body looked as if it was made of glazed gems, crystal clear. It shone with colorful light, combining exquisiteness and magnificence!
”Is this the Ten Directions Heavenly Tower?!”
A student couldn’t help but say.
That’s right, the tower-shaped building in front of us was full of light and beautiful. There were a total of ten floors, and the appearance could not be said to be the same as the artifact Ten Directions Heavenly Tower of Ye Cheng in the previous videos, but it could be said to be exactly the same.
”No, this is a place created by the city lord to allow soul masters who practiced the old soul hunting system to smoothly switch to the divine ring master system.” Teacher Cao shook his head and denied it, without giving too much explanation. He just said, “Come with me.”
The group followed Teacher Cao with doubts, gradually approaching the colorful pagoda. The closer they got, the more they could feel an inexplicable… I don’t know how to describe it. It was really very strange.
The pagoda was about a kilometer high and a hundred meters wide.
The tower door, also made of colored glaze, was open, and a counter-like place could be vaguely seen inside. When everyone walked into the tower along the stairs, they found that it was a little empty. Only one staff member stood by the counter, quietly waiting for them.
Teacher Cao stepped forward, handed a token to the staff member, and said, “These people are freshmen. I brought them here today to transfer.”
The staff member took the token and nodded. Then he waved his hand, and suddenly a dark vortex appeared in the empty area, and then condensed into a door.
”This is the entrance to the second floor of the pagoda.” Teacher Cao walked in front of the students and explained.
So that’s it.
The students suddenly realized that it was no wonder that they always felt that the pagoda seemed to be missing something when they first came in. It turned out that it was because there was no staircase to the upper floor. There was nothing else on this floor except a counter.
Everyone followed Teacher Cao and walked into the door that suddenly appeared. They came to the second floor of the pagoda.
As soon as they arrived here, the students were surprised to find that they seemed to have arrived in the starry sky of the universe, surrounded by colorful lights, and the space was so large that they could not see the end at a glance.
”The real name of this pagoda is the Soul Tower! It is divided into nine floors, and each floor has an independent space, corresponding to the realm of Soul Master to Titled Douluo. We are now in the first floor space.” Teacher Cao explained.
”But teacher, this pagoda obviously has ten floors.” A student said puzzled.
Indeed, from the outside, this pagoda has a total of ten floors. But the teacher insisted that it only has nine floors. Is there a hidden floor?
The teacher said that the ninth floor represents the Titled Douluo, so the tenth floor represents godhood! ?
But Teacher Cao smiled and broke their fantasy, saying: “There is another floor, which is the bottom floor we just entered in the tower. It is the only place connected to reality. Therefore, it is not divided with the other nine floors.”
”So that’s it.”
Some students suddenly realized, but more students had already guessed what the so-called tenth floor was.
”Okay, now you can go into any room and start meditating.” Teacher Cao clapped his hands, asking all the students who were still looking around curiously to look over. He said, “Empty your mind, and the Soul Tower will instill some necessary knowledge in you later. Then it will assist you in completing the process of transforming the broken soul ring into a soul ring. Remember, don’t resist.”
After he finished speaking, doors suddenly appeared in the empty space, as if waiting for people to open them.
”Got it.”
Looking at the doors that suddenly appeared, the students were a little surprised, but they didn’t care. Since the doors that appeared looked basically the same, everyone just found a door and opened it and walked in.
After Hu Liena opened the door, she found a small room behind it. It looked like a place for retreat. There were no other furniture, only a meditation cushion in the center.
Recalling what Teacher Cao had told them, she knew that this place was a place for them to practice with peace of mind, and she didn’t hesitate. After closing the door, she looked around curiously, but didn’t find anything special. Finally, Hu Liena slowly sat on the cushion.
As soon as she sat down, she felt as if a stream of fresh air was pouring in from the top of her head!
A message appeared out of thin air in Hu Liena’s mind. Very detailed information.
This is a meditation method called “Basics·Qi Gathering Technique”.
In this world, the practice method of soul masters is called meditation. The specific principle is similar to the practice of internal strength in martial arts. They all use meditation to circulate their own soul power, attract external energy to flow through the meridians in the body, and transform it into their own strength, thereby enhancing their own soul power.
However, compared with the practice methods in other martial arts world that are specifically used to practice internal strength, the meditation method in this world is more crude. The so-called practice of most soul masters is just to let the soul power circulate irregularly in the meridians in the body through meditation. You can imagine how inefficient it is.
Of course, this only refers to the lowest level of meditation. For example, those large sects and families with a long history have inherited some advanced meditation methods.
For example, the Spirit Hall has gradually figured out which meridians the soul power can flow to over a long period of time, which can more efficiently transform the soul power and make the speed of self-cultivation faster. This advanced meditation method already has the prototype of internal strength practice.
Originally, Hu Liena didn’t care about the meditation method instilled in her by the Soul Tower. After all, as the Saint of the Spirit Hall, the meditation method she usually uses for practice is naturally the most advanced meditation method. Naturally, she would not think that the meditation method that Baiyun City gave to freshmen for free would be better than their own.
The meditation methods that most schools gave to freshmen were the simple and crude mainland meditation methods. It was impossible to compare them with the meditation methods that the Spirit Hall, a large power with a long history, had. Moreover, this thing was marked as “basic”.
But when Hu Liena completely digested the information in her mind, she could not help but be stunned.
How could there be such a meditation method in the world?
And such a complex soul power circulation circuit?
Is it really meaningful to operate such a meridian circuit?
And this meditation method is only basic? ? ?
What about the advance ones?
Although Hu Liena did not know how powerful the meditation method called “Basic Qi Gathering Technique” given to freshmen by the academy was, she could compare it. Comparing this method with the meditation method taught by the Pope that she learned in the Spirit Hall, it was easy to find that the meditation method given by this academy was much more complicated than the meditation method of the Spirit Hall.
I just don’t know how effective it will be when I actually practice it?
With such doubts, Hu Liena began to follow the practice route of “Basic Qi Gathering Technique” to absorb energy from the outside world.
