I can't remember if we are supposed to know what the 'Doom of valyria' actually was but the way they describe it reminds me of the story of Pompeii which was destroyed when Mount Vesuvius erupted. You know they talk about it as like the greatest ancient civilization that just disappeared overnight and all they have left of it is the Valyrian steel swords that they have to keep melting down and remaking (and I guess a couple of Targaryens). Just a cool bit of world building

Have to admit while I never disliked her character and did enjoy a lot of her big moments, she was never a favorite for me either. I was never “rooting” for her

i'm just not a dany fan. i knew she was a fan favorite when i started the show, so i was surprised at how... unlikeable... she was to me, specifically starting in season 4. i'll leave it at that for now 🙃
