"just the imagery" - but why, why that imagery? why emphasize ryuk's eyes at this moment? these are the questions and lol it's implied they really dated in college, they been intimate and all that probably, but that's not important enough to get screen time and remember the first promise Light ever made to Misa: "I can't be your boyfriend, but I can pretend." as to why people stop reacting: L died. they just stop caring and don't see it through, which is imho a huge mistake
