I agree!! and while I'm excited for the reactions to come bc it just goes even more depth with the characters later on, the Land of Waves arc has always been one of my favorites from the earlier episodes and I feel like it's not appreciated enough but it does hit a lot of impact imo.

I think what most people love about naruto as a show is that there arent any black or white characters. Everyone is just chasing some kind of goal, they are all a victim of their circumstances and slaves to the beliefs ingrained into them. Every character is relatable to some degree whether we like them or not. And in general there’s a lot of introspection and reflection. This was a very simple arc but it sets up nicely for the tone of the rest of the show
