In all honestly with all the nonsense over on twitter I was relying on Patreon to keep up to date with your work, but if you don't want the pressure of constantly creating to meet a deadline I get it. Doesn't Patreon have a 'pay per post' system you could switch to?

yes, of course, i'm currently uploading all of the art that is not yet available anywhere else onto a dropbox file for any supporters who want it and i will begin sending it out as soon as possible

The amount I give is small enough, and your art is good enough, that even if you did two pieces per year, I'd feel like I'd be getting my money's worth. I have been enjoying so much of your art for 2 years prior! I guess it's worth noting I'm also a very recent subscriber. You make some of the hottest stuff ever and if you need to take long breaks for whatever reason, that's fine with me. I can totally understand that you want your output to be better anyway and that this situation isn't acceptable to you. I don't want to convince you to keep it open. But I just feel you've already provided amazing value, enough for a lot of leeway. So do whatever you feel is best for you, thank you for everything and hope to see you around later!

While I love your work, I don't mind if you need to slow down or take a break to get yourself together. Like others have said, what you are putting out is great, but even if that stopped I don't mind the little bit I'm chipping in to help you have less to worry about even if you did stop posting art for a while.
