I agree with you, Lucifer being in a relationship with Eve is most annoying!!! but dont forget that the overarching story of the show is Lucifer's journey, his learning experiences and resulting growth, not the "Deckerstar relationship". Sure Chloe plays a MAJOR role in that journey but in order to truly understand himself and grow, Lucifer needs other sources of "input" outside of himself and Chloe. In that sense, the relationship with Eve is necessary, it will be made all very clear in the next couple of episodes, especially during the scenes between Lucifer and Linda.
