Weekly Update (07/18/2022)
🕑 Added 2022-07-19 02:48:16 +0000 UTCHey guys! Update post #6 here.
This week was a big ol' continuation of last week's work, I would say. Once again, little time for writing, but still 2,400 lines in total. A couple of days were spent fine-tuning the UI for the game. We added a little clock for the top-left corner of the UI to let you skip time and see what time it currently is, which should look something like this:
We decided it makes the most sense to use Maeve's colors for most of the UI anyways - she is the game's namesake, after all. We also have some mockups for what the interaction menus with the girls might look like in v0.2 (and hopefully from here on out). Here's our current favorite version. What do you think? Let us know in the comments!
Additionally, work on the shopkeeper's sprite has continued steadily. Sprites are a tricky thing - gotta draw them perfect, it's what everyone looks at the most! But we're very happy with how she's coming out so far. What do you think?
Finally, thanks for the name suggestions on last week's poll! We really liked the name Lucy, so that shall be her name! Thanks to Icarus Crowne and Kiden for the suggestions. And an even bigger thank you again to everybody for making a pledge! It means the world.
