You let a small smile manifest on your face, as you work your way along the length of her foot, which is quite warm and damp to the touch. Through the thinned, slightly-worn fabric of the sock, you massage your index through pinky fingers into the top surface of her foot, tracing the wiry extensor muscles laid atop the metatarsal bones. Your thumbs work the opposite face of her foot, exerting deeper pressure into the soft sole, and the tense plantar fascia in her arch. You continue rubbing up into the tip of her foot, paying brief but robust attention to each of her five toes. You feel her toes scrunch up almost reflexively, and you respond by gently prying them open and spread, squeezing the slightly-bony length of each phalange. The warm dampness of her sock seems to be concentrated in this area, nestled in the space between her toes and the ball of her foot, transferring a subtle slickness to your fingertips.
"Hahahah, were you a masseuse in another life? You are really good at that," Kat remarks with a little smile, her golden eyes peering keenly at you through heavy lashes and a pair of oddly-oversized glasses.
You smile back -- it's not that difficult, you retort. Some basic knowledge of anatomy and fitness, and it easily occurs to you where to apply hard or soft pressure. Kat nods with an impressed raise of her brows, at the same time expectantly bringing her other foot up into your lap, such that both are now set side-by-side. It's at this moment that you really begin to take note of the warmth emanating from her feet; the subtle heat coming off of them starts to reach your face, bringing with it an almost...popcorn smell? While the socks don't show any extreme signs of wear, the slight thinning of the fabric, and the now more-noticeable fragrance, you cannot help but wonder, "How long has she had these socks?"
Your brief moment of reflection doesn't go unnoticed, as Kat watches you in silence for a few moments, before leaning forward and clasping her fingers on top of her toes. You pull your hands away slightly, curious at her reaction.
"Oh, I'm s-sorry, I really hope they don't smell bad..." she stammers as her pale cheeks and nose begin to take on a subtle blush, casting a pink backdrop to the scattered freckles on her face. "I might have had this pair of socks for a while..."
You can't help but feel a slight twinge of embarrassment for her, but it's easily usurped by a sense of charming endearment at the young woman's concern over something so harmless. You let out a small, genuine laugh, shaking your head in protest; you tell her it's fine, it's normal and expected -- you did spend the whole day walking around the city, after all! You reassure her that you don't even notice a smell; you are more than willing to tell this little white lie in an effort to abate her embarrassment.
Kat seems to relax at the reassurance, abandoning the grip on her sock-covered toes, leaning back into the bed. The muscles in her legs begin to release the tension that had seemingly built up in her moment of self-consciousness, and you can see her sense of comfort re-establishing itself in a slow wave of relief.
Your expression stays soft, as you replace your hands on her feet. You let your fingers rest motionless on the sides of her feet for a few moments, before you start to slowly trace your fingers up along the edges of her heels, up to her ankles, and to the slightly-worn cuffs of her socks. You hook your fingers underneath the fabric edges, and you immediately feel the warm glaze of the sweat coating her ankles. You begin to pull slightly, the cotton-spandex fabric resisting just slightly against your efforts, but it quickly resigns as you bring the socks down her ankles, and clear her heels. The tops of your fingers slowly glide along the soles of her feet as you gradually peel the socks off, revealing the rest of her heels, then her arches, which bear a pale milky color, in stark contrast to the blushing pink of her heels, and the outer edges of her soles.
“The cool air feels nice,” Kat remarks quietly with a little smile.
You smile back, resuming the slow, gentle tugging at her socks. The dark fabric of each sock has now coiled up into a little scrunched bundle where they meet her feet, with only a small layer of fabric covering the remaining front halves of each foot. You pull the socks over the balls of her feet, your fingers continuing to graze the soft skin there. As the socks start to clear the bases of her toes, you feel a stronger wave of heat emanating from the space, like you were testing the temperature of a warming oven.
You notice now that there are only a few centimeters of sock left to peel away from her feet, the stretchy fabric clinging almost desperately to the tips of all ten of her toes. You hear a small gasp send out from Kat’s direction, and look up to see her watching you intently. Those big sunny irises are now thin rings around dilated pupils, framed by deep green eyeshadow, and dark pink underliner, all behind those big glasses which seemed to gather all the eagerness of her gaze, and focus it right toward you.
You can’t help but notice the strange cocktail of feelings bubbling inside your chest. It was a pretty innocent act – offering your best friend a massage after a strenuous day; a little unusual, perhaps, but nothing outlandish or unheard of. And yet, in this moment, you felt closer to her than you ever had before; the endearing embarrassment on her face, paired with the equally-obvious intrigue that was on the verge of begging you to pull her socks off. Rapid fluttering, or stopping in your chest – your heart could barely decide what to do.
“Pull them off,” Kat asked quietly.
You were yoked out of your mental ruminations by the request – or was it a demand? Either way, you didn’t intend to argue. You pulled upward, exerting only the most minute amount of pressure, and yet, it was as if the socks had been clutching onto her toes for dear life, just to make things more interesting. Still, all it took was a pair of small, synchronous tugs, and the dark socks snapped away into two little bundles of damp fabric.
Kat let out a little gasp…

Okay yes, so I know the story isn't 100% matching/caught up with the image, but hey, we'll get there. XD
I really like the continuative narrative aspect of these Kat pieces, so I hope you enjoyed that next part. I think it would be cool if I was able to do a short sexy comic with some of my OCs. With the amount of time, effort, and learning it would take me, I couldn't afford to do it now, but hey, maybe in the future.
The background here is not exactly over-detailed, but I did want to put just a little thought into it, as Kat's bedroom. I wanted it to reflect her personality, and not look like a generic hotel room or whatever. She's got this punky, emo alt-girl thing going on, but tries to keep everyone guessing by throwing in splashes of pastel colors, and those big, goofy glasses -- I wanted the room to reflect just a little bit of that. I could have kept going, as I find the idea of building something around a character very interesting, but I cannot spend all my time working on a one-off bedroom background. XD
I know a select few who were sad to see the super-short hair go when I started on this more recent redesign of Kat, so I threw a variant in there for you. XD
I am in the early stages of doing a full character/reference sheet for Kat, which will not only allow me to solidify her development and appearance, but it will be useful for those rare, exciting opportunities when other talented artists have decided to draw her.
