Chapter 141: Kiana's attempt, Gentle Aponia
"Cat Car: Kiana is now reminiscing about her past with Himeko. Did Himeko really die in the final lesson? If so, this is too tragic for Kiana! Tell me this isn't true, this isn't true, meow!"
"Don't Want to Go to Work: If Himeko is truly dead, Kiana will think she killed her. Even if it's the Herrscher Sirin who did it. In a sense, it was Kiana who did it. Sigh, Sirin is part of this, and so is Otto!"
"Sakura: This is also why, after Kiana regained consciousness and took control of the body, she didn't dare contact Theresa and the others. She was probably afraid to face them."
Yae Sakura who was making oversized rice balls in the kitchen couldn't help but remark as she watched this scene.
"Miss Elf: Why is fate so cruel to Kiana? If this is truly a game, why not give it a happy ending? I believe Himeko is not dead!"
"Driver's License Revoked: Major Himeko must still be alive. This isn't your fault, idiot Kiana. No."
In reality, Kiana was being held tightly by Bronya and Mei, who stared at her with worry. Kiana, sensing their gazes, spoke helplessly.
"Mei, Bronya, I'm really fine!"
"It didn't affect me!"
"Don't worry, don't worry. I'm the invincible Kiana. I know all the future plots. She still wants to control my body? Humph, dream on!"
Kiana raised her chin proudly and spoke confidently to Mei and Bronya.
However, a hint of confusion and trance still flickered in Kiana's eyes.
Mei and Bronya didn't notice this. Kiana immediately embraced them and told them to focus on the livestream.
Meanwhile, the Queen observed the chat hurling insults at her, as well as Kiana's talk to Mei and Bronya in real life.
A mocking expression crossed her face.
She sensed Kiana's inner turmoil.
What did it matter if she knew the future? She still had plenty of opportunities to take control of her body.
Furthermore, she had a premonition that her birth was approaching.
The first thing she would do when she arrived was to kill that man. He had actually plotted against her.
Unforgivable!
Unbeknownst to the others, Himeko and Theresa were in contact with Einstein and Tesla.
The story continued.
...
August 2014, the first combat mission.
On Hyperion, in the preparation room.
Himeko, clad in crimson armor, looked at the three before her and spoke sternly.
"Before your first combat mission, I want to remind you again: besides being wary of the enemy in front of you, you must also constantly monitor your companions."
Here, Himeko paused, her gaze flickering across the young faces of Kiana and the other two. After a moment, she continued.
"Because they are not only your comrades providing support, they could also unfortunately become monsters."
"Every Valkyrie faces this risk in battle. We harness Honkai energy to gain immense combat power, but we could also be harmed at any moment, losing our sanity and becoming monsters intent on destroying everything."
"As long as you continue to fight as Valkyries, you must be prepared for this worst-case scenario. If one day, your comrade loses control due to Honkai energy—you must end their life without hesitation!"
Kiana in the storyline heard this, a look of pity on her face. She put her hands behind her back and spoke timidly.
"If it was Himeko-sensei who lost control, would we also take action?"
Himeko nodded without hesitation and spoke firmly to Kiana. "Even if it were me, you absolutely must not hesitate!"
"Trying to protect the life of an out-of-control Valkyrie will only result in greater casualties. If you don't understand this, I won't let you step onto the battlefield."
Hearing Himeko's resolute words, Kiana lowered her head, accepting this harsh reality. But after a moment, a flicker of struggle flashed in her eyes. She looked at Himeko and spoke weakly.
"What if one day, I... I mean, if I lose control, then Aunt Himeko, you must..."
But Kiana was interrupted before she could finish her words.
Himeko, greatsword in hand, stood at the hatchway, looking back at Kiana, speaking softly yet powerfully.
"I won't let that happen."
Hearing this, Kiana looked puzzled.
"Huh?"
"As your instructor and captain, I will do my best to protect each and every one of you and keep you out of danger."
Hearing this, Kiana froze, staring blankly at Himeko for a long, silent moment. Then, with a look of indignation on her face, she said, "What a cunning statement!"
Himeko listened, a faint smile on her face, and replied softly. "This is my principle."
...
"Cat Cat: Woohoo, you're still going to keep stabbing me? Seriously, you're still going to make me cry non-stop. Woohoo, if this is really a game, I really want to kill whoever created this story! Woohoo."
"Want to Buy an Island: In The Last Lesson, Himeko could have killed the Herrscher of the Void, but she ultimately showed mercy. Not for any reason, simply because Kiana was her student. She did it, lived up to her principle, protecting her student. But she hesitated, she didn't kill Kiana when she lost control. Alas, Himeko Murata is truly a great person."
"Miss Elf: Alas, I can kind of understand why even Herrschers of this era can have some humanity."
In the Aponia Sanatorium, Pardofelis and Elysia hugged each other tightly. The sentimental Pardofelis sobbed in Elysia's arms, and Elysia's eyes were red. Although she had witnessed countless separations of life and death among the Fire Moth over the years, Elysia couldn't help but feel sad and cry every time. She loved everyone, but she didn't like the ones she loved disappearing before her.
Aponia and Mobius standing nearby fell into silence. Seeing their reactions, Aponia looked puzzled, while Mobius, seeing this, let out a hint of helplessness.
Aponia looked at Mobius and spoke slowly.
"What's wrong with Pardofelis and Miss Elysia?"
Hearing Aponia's words, Mobius shook her head. She glanced at Elysia, realizing that Elysia's eyes were only red, and returned her gaze to Aponia.
She shook her head and replied calmly.
"It's okay, it'll be fine soon."
"Let's get back to the topic, Ms. Aponia. I'm sure you understand what Honkai Disease means."
Mobius folded her hands and stared at Aponia, as if trying to see through the nun before her, wondering what Aponia's motives were.
Aponia raised her eyes slightly, gazing at Mobius.
Then, turning, she looked out the window at the children playing and several men and women basking in the sun beneath a tree.
She spoke with a look of sorrow.
"I know, Miss Mobius. This means this place is on the brink of collapse."
Hearing this, Mobius spoke quickly. "If you know that, then why are you still..."
Before Mobius could finish her words, Aponia interrupted her.
"If I don't take these poor people in, they will die—either in agony or at their hands. I can't bear it. I can't just watch them like this."
"Miss Mobius, you're a scientist from Fire Moth. You know what would happen if Fire Moth and the city government learned of these people's existence."
Aponia's eyes which had been lowered, opened and met Mobius's. For the first time, anger crossed her usually peaceful features.
Hearing this, Mobius fell silent.
Because she knew better than anyone what the Fire Moth would do if they discovered someone infected with the Honkai Disease.
If it hadn't been Elysia who came this time, but another Fire Moth team or group, this sanatorium would no longer exist.
Until a cure for the Honkai Disease was found, this was the most effective method.
And seeing Aponia's look, Mobius knew this modern nun was genuine, adopting and caring for those infected with the Honkai Disease without a trace of ulterior motive.
The two fell silent again.
Back in the livestream, Durandal watched the scene unfold, remembering her first encounter with Himeko in the orphanage. She recalled her duties as a Valkyrie. Over the years, she had witnessed countless Valkyries lose control and ultimately be killed by their own comrades.
There was nothing she could do, and nothing she could do.
Standing on the deck, she sighed deeply. "We are guardians, pioneers, warriors, but also a group of pathetic creatures constantly fighting madness."
...
Back to the plot,
As the image of Himeko faded, the screen shifted to show her battling a Honkai beast with a greatsword in hand. Kiana's sobbing, bewildered voice deepened.
Himeko, clad in crimson armor. This was the Final Lesson, where Himeko was clad in the red armor.
"You said."
"If a comrade loses her mind and is controlled by Honkai, we must end her life without hesitation. But why, why you!"
As Kiana's emotions grew more and more broken, her voice grew more desperate.
She saw Himeko's final strike, not at her, but behind her head, as her figure slowly faded.
She knelt on the ground, tears streaming uncontrollably.
Memories shattered.
When Kiana regained consciousness, she found herself surrounded by countless Honkai beasts. She ignored them, clutching her head in agony.
The scene of Himeko's final lesson recurred in her mind.
Her eyes were filled with sorrow and despair.
At that moment, Sirin reappeared in Kiana's consciousness.
Looking at the devastated Kiana, she spoke calmly. "Humans always make the same mistakes. They're willing to sacrifice everything to save others."
"But she never imagined that her sacrifice would leave a wound in your heart that will never heal, a crack that allows me to return."
"That's why you can never break free from me. Every moment of distraction, every painful memory, grants me greater freedom, turning every place you stay into ruin."
"Escape? Haha, where can you escape to?"
"Because I am you, Kiana!"
As Sirin finished her words, Kiana, in a state of collapse, faced the Honkai beast's attack and once again unleashed the power of the Herrscher of the Void. But even amidst her devastation, she remained steadfast in her resolve to resist Sirin's temptations.
Seeing this, Sirin taunted Kiana once again.
"Pathetic, you coward who only knows how to run."
"But where can you escape to?"
"There's no place for you in this world."
With Sirin's rhetoric still in her ears, Kiana used her last bit of strength to destroy the last Honkai beast before her.
Then she fell to her knees, head bowed. Breathing heavily, she gripped her pistol tightly.
She spoke with a deep, sad, yet incredibly determined voice.
"I will never let you..."
Then Kiana raised her pistol, pressing it to her chin, ready to pull the trigger and end it all.
Even if she died, she would never let the Herrscher of the Void control her body.
Because that was her promise to Himeko!
"Cat Sticker: Oh, no, no, meow! Really no, meow! Kiana, don't do this, damned Sirin. That's too abominable! Kiana, please don't do anything stupid!"
"Want to Buy an Island: This is something Kiana would do. I'm liking you more and more. But don't give up, Kiana! There's still a chance!"
"Miss Elf: There has to be! Please don't let this happen!"
Xiyue glanced at the comment section and saw that everyone was shocked by the scene. Most people were on edge.
Back to the plot: Just as Kiana was about to pull the trigger, Fu Hua's gentle voice rang out.
"Don't despair yet, Kiana."
"Because, I'm here."
The scene shifted, and Fu Hua, in her Phoenix form, appeared behind Kiana, hugging her and stopping her.
Fu Hua's gentle and resolute voice was like a ray of light in the darkness, dispelling all of Kiana's darkness and illuminating her now gloomy heart.
Kiana opened her eyes, tears streaming down her face once again as she wept.

Chapter 142: Sirin's Defense Breaks
"I Want to Buy an Island: I knew Fu Hua would show up, and she's still so reliable. As expected of the Master Jingwei, she's amazing!"
Having completed several quests, Raven sat leisurely in her rocking chair, watching the livestream.
Now that the money for her island had finally arrived, she was seriously considering buying a place that looked safe from the impact of a major Eruption.
If she could buy the island and build a beachfront villa, she could finally retire.
Thinking of her wonderful future, Raven's lips curled into a satisfied smile.
It seemed the Jackal and Gray Serpent’s plan to find the Lord would also require her participation.
Thinking of this, Raven’s cheerful mood dimmed slightly.
Then she returned her gaze to the livestream.
"Cat Cat: Fu Hua, my god! Oh no, of all the gods, Fu Hua always appears at the crucial moment. She’s so reassuring."
"Miss Elf: Fu Hua’s line, ‘I’m here!’ It’s so heartwarming."
"Don’t Want to Go to Work: Wow, for a moment, I’m kind of tempted to support these two, hehe."
Thanks to his sister Nuwa’s influence, Fuxi was quite knowledgeable about certain things. In her free time, shw and Nuwa often watched various anime and shoujo comics together.
Xiyue smiled at the comments.
"In her prime, the Immortal was holding Sirin down."
"What a pity. If it were the Immortal before, Sirin would already be defeated!"
At this point, Xiyue couldn’t help but think of Fu Hua’s Eminence attack in the comics. It was so cool.
When Sirin in Kiana’s consciousness heard Yuexi's words, her face darkened and she started cursing at the livestream. She had learned quite a lot of colorful vocabulary from Tesla during her time there. Now, she was spewing these spicy-like terms at Xiyue one by one.
Unfortunately, Xiyue didn’t care about Sirin.
Sirin could only rage helplessly.
Back to the storyline, Fu Hua used Fenghuang Down’s power to gradually soothe Kiana’s shattered heart, thwarting Sirin’s plans. Sirin looked at Fu Hua, who had appeared behind Kiana, with immense disgust on her face.
She snorted coldly.
"You haunting creature. Is it the divine key you concealed that grants you power? Whether in reality or in the spiritual world, knowing you will inevitably fail, you still challenge me again and again."
"This pathetic stubbornness almost makes me respect humanity. However, no matter how hard you try, it’s in vain. Because this girl was destined from the beginning to be the vessel for my return to the human world."
"Her past, her name, are the shackles you humans forged to imprison the gods. The girl you strive to save has been a mere illusion from the beginning. She has completely given up everything and will not respond to your call."
"I Don't Want to Take the Exam: Damn, this Herrscher is so talkative, blabbering nonstop, and such an arrogant narcissist."
Kiana could no longer hold back and ranted at Sirin. Although she knew Sirin was her alter ego, she would never let her control her body again.
She finally understood why she always got headaches when she insulted Sirin.
This was all Sirin’s fault!
Hearing Kiana’s words, Sirin—like a furious cat—vented her rage in Kiana’s consciousness, trying to give her another headache.
But unfortunately, Kiana had grown used to them.
This little pain was nothing to her.
After realizing this, Sirin angrily berated Kiana.
"Queen: You’re an ant destined to be abandoned. What are you so proud of? Do you really think these ants will tolerate Kiana?"
"I Don't Want to Take the Exam: Sirin was beaten by class monitor."
"Queen: An alien is always an alien. Kiana is destined to be destroyed by these ants! This world doesn’t belong to Kiana. She should never have come to this world."
"I Don't Want to Take the Exam: Sirin was beaten by class monitor."
"Queen: Your name is someone else’s, and you’re always pretending to be someone else. Don’t you feel sad?"
"I Don't Want to Take the Exam: Sirin was beaten severely by class monitor!"
"Queen: Damn, lowly ant, is that all you can say? Ridiculous."
"I Don't Want to Take the Exam: Sirin was nearly beaten to death by class monitor!"
"Queen: ****-ka…"
The full force of the attack in Kiana’s consciousness gave her a pounding headache. Kiana clutched her head, buried it in Mei’s arms, and endured the pain as she spoke fiercely.
"Sirin, you can’t afford to play this game? You can’t afford it!"
Xiyue nearly laughed out loud as she watched Kiana and Sirin interact. It satisfied a certain wicked taste in her heart. After filming the Queen’s scenes was complete, she would definitely play the Queen’s fan-videos for everyone.
Feeling delighted, Xiyue continued to focus on the livestream.
Fu Hua’s expression remained unchanged as she listened to Sirin’s words. She simply stared at her quietly and spoke softly.
"I… once trusted others too easily and made many mistakes."
"I also lost faith in humanity, carrying out my mission in vain."
"But even so, I still want to persevere once more. There’s no profound reason, simply because… I trust the one who is willing to sacrifice for her."
After saying this, Fu Hua directed her power at the airborne Sirin, causing her to vanish, leaving behind her final words.
"Kiana, from now on, it’s up to you!"
Then, a dazzling light shone, illuminating the pitch-black world and Kiana’s confused, gloomy heart.
Kiana stood up, dodging the attacks of the Honkai beasts.
Just as she was about to be struck, the sound of a mirror shattering echoed. Kiana clutched her head and slowly looked forward, seeing an all-too-familiar figure gradually approaching her.
Her eyes widened.
As the ethereal voice of a child’s chanting echoed in her ears, the mirror shattered completely. The scattered fragments marked the return of the blood-red knight before her eyes.
The resolute knight said nothing but walked past Kiana, raising her fiery greatsword to face the Honkai beasts head-on, protecting his student.
At that moment, the knight turned slightly, looking at Kiana—kneeling on the ground, bewildered—and spoke softly.
"Kiana, what are you waiting for!"
As Himeko finished speaking, the knight’s figure gradually faded.
And at those words, Kiana’s confused and dazed eyes grew firm. With tears streaming down her face, a powerful force erupted from her body, completely destroying the Honkai beasts that surrounded her.
Amid the flames, Kiana’s confession slowly rang out.
"Himeko-sensei, I will not run away again!"
Her tightly closed eyes opened once more—not their usual azure blue, but a brilliant gilded gold.
"Cat Cat: Meow, this chapter has stabbed me three times. Seriously. This plot and this music are just too tearful, sob. Himeko, Aunt Himeko!"
Pardo’s eyes were reddened as she burrowed into Elysia’s arms, constantly seeking comfort.
Elysia wasn’t much better than Pardo. She stroked Pardo’s little head and offered gentle solace.
"Don’t worry, Pardo."
"Kiana and Himeko know the future plot and will definitely not let what happened repeat."
"That way it won’t be a tragedy."
Hearing Elysia’s words, Pardo raised her tearful eyes toward her.
"Sister Elysia, is this true? Sob, their future is so bleak."
Elysia rubbed Pardo’s little head and continued.
"I will definitely make sure of it."
"If not, I’ll definitely go help them then."
"Your sister Ellie is incredibly powerful~"
Hearing Elysia’s words and looking into her beautiful eyes, Pardo nodded earnestly.
"Sister Ellie, you must help those silly Kiana and the others!"
"Pardo, I’ll do my best!"
At that moment, a voice echoed in Pardo’s mind.
[Mysterious pet egg, hatched successfully. Please check, host.]
Pardo was startled by the system’s voice and instinctively answered, "Check!" Then, a ball of white light appeared in her arms, catching both of their attention.
As the light gradually dissipated, its true form was revealed.
It was a plump, adorable cat, gray with spots, its breed indistinguishable. It wore a small scarf around its neck and a pale gold ornament on its head—looking impossibly cute.
"Cat?"
At the same time, the system sent a message into Pardo’s mind.
[Breed: Dreaming Cat]
[Name: Unnamed]
[Talent: Luck +2]
[Owner: Pardofelis]
[Introduction: Who could resist a cat that increases its owner’s luck?~]
After receiving the message, Pardo looked at the cat in her arms and felt a surge of warmth. She instantly fell in love. She quickly reached out and scooped it up.
Feeling the cat’s soft fur, Pardo loved it to bits.
Elysia, watching this, quickly understood and asked,
"Pardo, is this the mysterious gift the system gave you?"
Hearing this, Pardo hugged the cat, nodded to Elysia, and said happily, "Yes, yes, Sister Ellie."
"The system gave me a pet egg, and I didn’t expect it to hatch into a cat. I love cats!"
She pressed her face against the cat.
The cat was very well-behaved, and upon hearing Pardo’s words—
"Meow meow meow~~~"
Hearing the sweet meow, Pardo felt her heart melt. She buried her face into the cat’s fur and cried out with immense joy.
"I love you so much."
"I’m going to give you a nice name. I’ll call you Can!!!"
"Meow~~~"
...
Back to the story, after using the Herrscher’s power to destroy the Honkai beasts, Fu Hua reappeared before Kiana.
Looking at her, Fu Hua’s eyes flashed with approval.
"Through your own will, you’ve controlled the power of the Herrscher of the Void."
But Kiana’s face showed no joy when she heard Fu Hua’s words. Instead, it was filled with sadness and regret. She clutched her head tightly with both hands, speaking through tears.
"But if only I had done it sooner… if only I had done it sooner, maybe…"
Seeing Kiana like this, Fu Hua knew she was still drowning in self-blame, still contemplating suicide and despair.
Sighing inwardly, Fu Hua continued.
"Kiana, what Himeko-sensei wants to see isn’t your guilt or remorse."
"She was willing to risk her life to teach you one last lesson because she believed in you wholeheartedly—believing you would eventually be the one to change everything."
Fu Hua’s words reached Kiana’s ears. Kiana loosened her grip on her head and slowly looked back at Fu Hua, her eyes still etched with sadness. She spoke weakly.
"I understand… I won’t let myself dwell on the pain of the past again."
"I will fulfill my promise to Himeko-sensei."
As soon as she finished speaking, the morning sun slowly rose, dispelling all the darkness in the world. Fu Hua stared at Kiana, studying her expression and eyes. She pondered for a moment before continuing.
"Let’s go. Although the Second Herrscher has been temporarily sealed, no one can guarantee she won’t awaken again."
"From now on, we still have a long way to go, and muchto do."

Chapter 143: Honkai Gakuen's Happy Ending
After wrapping up this episode, Xiyue breathed a sigh of relief.
Livestreaming so many chapters in one go would have been a stretch for even a skilled player, even though she was just a tool. But replaying all these episodes still made her stomach ache.
You know, she'd completed the main storyline twice in her previous life, but she didn't expect to have to do it again here.
Getting stabbed three times repeatedly.
This feeling was truly despairing!
But thankfully, it was finally over. Xiyue leaned back in her chair, tilted her head back, and stared at the white ceiling.
Ignoring the admiring comments from the audience in the comment section,
Suddenly, a few plot points flashed through her mind, and a chill ran down her spine.
If we were to talk about miHoYo's most ruthless game, Honkai Impact 3rd would only rank second, far inferior to Honkai Gakeun.
Even among all game plots, Honkai Gakuen's plot would be considered supremely ruthless.
As for miHoYo's ruthless knife-skills, let's use an analogy to illustrate just how ruthless and despairing Honkai Gakuen.
Genshin Impact: a minor cold, you can recover and jumping up and down again.
Honkai Impact 3rd: a serious illness left some aftereffects. While there were plenty of stab wounds in the early stages, there was still some sweetness.
As for Honkai Gakuen, it was simply a series of minor illnesses that accumulated into a major one, culminating in terminal cancer that infected his entire liver. After organ removal, he lost some of his digestive ability and had to rely on medical equipment and nutrient solution to forcibly prolong his life. Then, a second relapse, the disease spread throughout his body, and he eventually died.
No wonder Honkai Impact 3rd's writers always describe their games as healthy, sunny, and uplifting.
Indeed, compared to Honkai Gakuen, Honkai Impact 3rd truly felt like a fairy tale.
At this thought, Xiyue's spirits flared. She had an idea. While the livestream still had some time left, she wanted the characters in Honkai Impact 3rd to experience the charm of Honkai Gakuen. She would show them what the ultimate knife stab is.
And immediately, Xiyue searched the livestream for Honkai videos she'd watched in her past life. They were about the two final animations of Honkai Gakuen, two "happy endings."
Don't say happy endings are fake. A reunion in the underworld is still a reunion!
Then, while searching for the video, she made up an excuse and said to the audience.
"Hey everyone, before this livestream ends, I, the host, want to give you a reunion video~"
"This video features Kiana and the others from different timelines~"
"They're also fighting the Honkai. Let's see what the outcome will be?"
"Warm reminder: Pay close attention~"
Hearing Yuexi's words, the audience in the livestream room also stirred, especially Kiana and the other two, who stared at the room with puzzled expressions.
"We from different timelines?"
Then they stared into each other's eyes, their faces filled with confusion.
"Want to Buy an Island: Kiana and the others from different timelines? Sounds weird, like the three-world bubble Bronya experienced?"
"Miss Elf: Sounds pretty good. Is this video sweet? If it isn't, I won't watch it~"
"The World's Cutest: Kiana and the others from different timelines. Does that mean Theresa and the others are included?"
After Theresa and Himeko discussed the conversation with the two professors of Anti-Entropy, it was mostly Himeko and the two professors talking, laying out the plan. As for Theresa, she just had to follow the instructions.
With nothing else to do, she focused her attention on the livestream.
Just as she was watching, she heard Yuexi's words.
Hearing these words, Theresa became extremely curious.
"Queen: In that other dimension, it goes without saying that it was the Honkai that destroyed that world. A mere ant, you dare say you'll defeat a god?"
"Cat Cat: Curious, curious, let it go. As long as it's not a knife, I like it."
Yuexi touched her nose when she saw Pardofelis's words. She was too embarrassed to answer Pardofelis.
Honkai Gakuen has everything, except candy.
What it does have is an endless supply of knives.
Feeling guilty towards Pardofelis, Xiyue didn't answer her and immediately played the Honkai Gakuen video.
Two finales combined, two hellish happy endings.
The video began playing, and the first scene that appeared was a rooftop. Kiana, with her back to the sun, stared ahead with a smile.
As soon as this scene appeared, Pardofelis couldn't help but speak.
"Cat Cat: Wow, Kiana looks so good from this angle. She looks so much younger and cuter. It seems appearances differ across time and space."
As soon as Pardo finished speaking, Kiana, with her back to the sun, reached out her hand.
Simultaneously, a hand with purple patterns reached out towards her. Mei's voice followed.
"Kiana, where are you?"
Just as Mei's hand was about to touch Kiana's, Kiana smiled softly.
"I finally met the most important person in my life."
The sad voice faded, and Kiana, bathed in the sunlight, gradually faded. After a moment, the scene flashed. Kiana vanished, replaced by a gigantic pupil, surrounded by countless deep purple tentacles. It looked incredibly terrifying and eerie.
But Kiana continued speaking. "If gods really exist..."
Then, the camera shifted, revealing a scene no longer of a welcoming rooftop, but a sea of bloody wreckage. In the midst of the blood-stained earth, Mei, covered in blood, knelt on the ground, her body covered in countless wounds.
Her purple eyes stared forward, wide open, a look of astonishment and vacant focus.
Unable to believe the scene before her, an air of despair permeated her.
"Kiana..."
Mei stared blankly ahead, at the massive, one-eyed monster. The creature roared piercingly, as if shattering the world. Amidst the roars, Mei muttered lifelessly.
"Kiana, let's go home..."
Her mind replayed the moment Kiana had reached out to her on the rooftop.
Seeing this, Mei could no longer contain herself. Tears streamed freely from her eyes, and she screamed in despair.
"Go home!"
"Cat Cat: ??? This isn't right, this isn't right? Why are they throwing such a huge knife right off the bat?"
"Miss Elf: I can feel the despair just by watching the video. Yuexi, your video..."
"I Don't Want to Take a Test: Why is Mei crying? That ugly one-eyed monster, I'm going to charge over and teach her a lesson. It made Mei cry. Even if this Mei is from another time and space, it won't do!"
"Don't Want to Go to Work: Something's wrong, something's wrong, absolutely wrong. This doesn't look like a happy ending, does it?"
"World's Cutest: Mei's utterly hopeless look tells you something must have happened to Kiana. And that wound. Are you sure this is a happy ending?"
"Dudu: I have a bad feeling!"
---
Chapter 144: A Happy Reunion in the Underworld Is Still a Happy Ending
Durandal stared at the livestream, watching Mei's utterly desperate expression and the gigantic, one-eyed creature.
She felt a strong sense of crisis. It had been a long time since she inherited the holy sword Durandal. She realized this so-called alternate dimension was definitely not simple.
As for its complexity, she could only wait for the host to explain.
Then, she returned her gaze to the livestream, which continued.
Amid Mei's sobs, the scene gradually changed.
Broken buildings, a field shrouded in smoke. Five circles of light—green, blue, pink, gold, and white—pierced the shattered earth, drifting towards an unknown dimension.
At the same time, a mournful, ethereal melody began to hum.
The scene flashed again, revealing Himeko holding a sword, her face grim. She screamed and slashed at something, but was instantly blocked, her blade chopped in half. It landed heavily on the ground, surrounded by blood-red dots of light.
Several blood-red dots of light coalesced into a red ball and flew forward. Himeko, holding a greatsword, knelt on one knee, her body covered in wounds, and fell silent.
Then, Theresa, clad in a nun's robe, appeared, also charging forward with a determined expression. Oath of Judah unleashed countless golden lock spears, piercing the unknown enemy with incomparable sharpness.
But the lock spears shattered, transforming into turquoise dots of light.
The dots of light drifted down, revealing Theresa lying in a pool of blood, her black-and-white nun's robe stained red, a fist-sized bloody hole faintly visible at her waist.
Even the most clueless viewer of this scene knew what the video was trying to convey. It couldn't possibly be the happy ending Yuexi had been talking about.
"Want to Buy an Island: ??? Who the hell is calling this a happy ending? Kiana, Himeko, and Theresa are all gone, and that's what you call a happy ending? Streamer, I feel like I'm going to beat you to death right now!"
Raven couldn't contain herself anymore after seeing Theresa's death.
She knew she shouldn't trust this crappy streamer. She couldn't believe a single word she said.
What a fucking happy ending.
"Cat Cat: Himeko's dead, Theresa's dead, and it seems Kiana's gone too. Mei over here looks heartbroken. Sister Yuexi, I won't trust you anymore! You disgusting Sister Yuexi!"
"Dr. Lobster Head: Beep—beep—I think I want to kill you. Why is the world like this???"
Dr. Tesla spoke like an old man.
She had just finalized the battle plan with Theresa and Himeko, and wanted to watch the livestream to relax, but she didn't expect to see this damned plot.
How could Tesla possibly stay calm?
"I Don't Want to Take the Test: Damn it! Why is this world like this? Seeing Mei like this is killing me, and Aunt Himeko and my aunt. How could this happen?"
"Driver's License Revoked: Is this how Kiana and the others in that alternate dimension end up? Zacyhik can't accept this."
"Miss Elf: Seriously, Yuexi. It seems last time wasn't enough. Next time we have the chance, I'll make sure you know how powerful I am! You big liar!"
Theresa and Himeko saw themselves die, especially Himeko, seeing herself die again.
Although she had long been prepared for death, it still felt strange.
Theresa, watching herself in the video, also felt a strange feeling, and doubts welled up in her heart.
What exactly are we fighting against in that alternate dimension?
Even if it was a Judgment-class Honkai Beast, it wouldn't be like this.
Yuexi glanced at the comment section. Sure enough, everyone was condemning her. Especially seeing Elysia's comments, a flicker of fear flashed across Yuexi's dark eyes. But she shook her head. She believed the system wouldn't betray her.
She was willing to trust a loyal system once more.
Watching the audience's comments, one could sense their resentment just from the chat.
But this was just the beginning; the knives on display were just a fraction of Honkai Gakuen's arsenal.
And Yuexi didn't think she'd deceived the audience. After all, a reunion in the underworld was still a good ending!
However, Yuexi didn't dare say this out loud. She continued playing the Honkai Gakuen video, giving everyone a first taste of its horror.
Back to the video.
Moving past Theresa's corpse, the video revealed Bronya and Seele, holding a Homu doll. They were enveloped by a golden curtain of light, which shone brightly as it crashed down on them.
Project Bunny 19C used all her might to block it, protecting Bronya and Seele.
But beneath the curtain of light, Project Bunny 19C's body gradually shattered. Seeing this, the lithe Seele gritted her teeth, a massive scythe materialized in her hand, and with a single leap, she slashed at the godlike figure in the sky.
Her waist-length silver hair, a golden halo adorning her head, and her golden eyes, noble and cold, indifferent to everything, resembled the most powerful god in the world.
The arrival of the End instantly captured the attention of those who had condemned Yuexi.
"Drunken Warrior: Is this the enemy? Is it a Herrscher? Why does it look so familiar? A bit like Sirin, but more like Kiana. Could it be the Herrscher of the Void? But Herrscher of the Void isn't that powerful."
"Cat Cat: It really does look like Kiana, and also like the Herrscher of the Void that possessed Kiana's body, but more noble and aloof than either. Just looking at it, you can sense the aura of devastation."
"Want to Buy an Island: Is this the strongest Herrscher?"
As a cadre of World Serpent, Raven knew some information.
"Dr. Lobster Head: Only the strongest Herrscher could be taken on by Theresa and the others all together. But this Herrscher is far too powerful."
In reality, Kiana stared intently at the screen, watching the video of the End.
For some reason, she could sense a familiar aura from her.
Then, she turned her gaze to Mei, who met her gaze, nodded at Kiana, and spoke softly.
"I sense it, Kiana."
"I sense a very familiar aura from this strongest Herrscher."
Meanwhile, Elysia stared at the End, her heart stirring deep within, her pink eyes fixed on her.
...
The video continued. Seele, slashing at the End with her scythe, was met with a cold glance from the End. Blood erupted from Seele's body, and she quickly fell backward.
Then, Bronya, clutching her Homu doll, watched Seele die before her. For a moment, Bronya's eyes dimmed, closing them. She then looked at Mei behind her and smiled.
Then she turned, gazing at the End with eyes filled with boundless fury, and stood up.
Using all her strength, she launched her most powerful attack at the End in the air, but with a wave of her hand, Bronya disintegrated into a speck of gray light, dispersing in all directions.
Only the Homu puppet, with one hand broken, fell heavily to the ground.
Mei picked up the Homu puppet and hugged it tightly, tears streaming uncontrollably. Looking at the bodies of her closest relatives, Mei was completely enraged and filled with despair.
Roaring at the End, endless lightning and thunder emanated from her body, and a powerful force surged from her.
Seeing this, the End in the air, her previously cold expression finally changed.
A smile crept across her face, and she charged towards Mei, who had awakened her full power. Mei, now empowered, turned her purple eyes blood red.
She charged head-on towards the End.
Purple and golden circles of light collided in mid-air at the speed of light, gradually piercing through the atmosphere and into outer space.
Finally, exhausting her last ounce of strength, Mei swung her fist and struck the End. The End stared indifferently at the powerless Mei, grasped Mei's hand, and pushed it away.
Then she reached out again, grasping Mei's neck.
Slowly exerting force, her golden eyes fixed on Mei. But as her power grew, tears began to well up in those indifferent eyes, and the golden diamond on her forehead shone brighter.
Then, as the End raised her forehead, an incredibly brilliant circle of light erupted.
The circle of light rapidly expanded, enveloping the entire Earth.
With a loud bang,
The Earth shattered, and golden circles of light filled the air.
The sky vanished, and human civilization would be swiftly destroyed by the drastic environmental changes of Earth's core after it melted, without the Will's intervention.
During this period, the Will's offspring and the Will's union would continue to indiscriminately infect and attack, transforming the shattered Earth into a new entity.
What would ultimately emerge from Earth's corpse? Perhaps no one alive could witness it.
The video ended.
Then, the entire audience was stunned by the video's piercing power, slumped in a daze.
And Yuexi could understand everyone's feelings at that moment, because in her previous life, after experiencing the storyline of Honkai Impact 3rd, she too felt a sense of extreme depression, a sense of suicidal hope.
There was no way around it; it was simply too brutal.
Compared to Honkai Gakuen, Honkai Impact 3rd was still quite blissful.
What was the most brutal part?
No matter how many levels you played, nothing changed. That was the most brutal part.
Mei's life was devoured by God-Slayer Armor, her body functions and brain destroyed by the Will. And Kiana, for one, was completely devoured. Seele and Sin, having recovered slightly, used time-stop and quantum-transfer to the moon's core, giving the Honkai a glimpse of a falling star. While they managed to shatter the outer shell of the Honkai's descending form, their fate remains unsaid.
The sole survivor, Bronya, remained on the ship, half-broken.
As for the savior, Houraiji Kyuusysou, she exploited the black hole left by Welt to deliver a final blow, at the cost of her own life, before perishing.
Ninti suffered even worse, falling into space with her spacesuit shattered, doomed.
The doctor lost 35% of her body weight, was pierced by tentacles, and her entire body was ravaged by the Honkai.
The only thing keeping her going was waiting for Mei. But she was destined to die in space.
As for Earth, its core was gone, and it was in a state of alienation.
As for human civilization?
Well, wait for the third round.
This is Honkai Gakuen. The Honkai Will, fearing it wouldn't be able to kill humanity, used its utmost malice to destroy humanity both spiritually and materially.
Xiyue shook her head, snapping out of her thoughts. She couldn't help but feel thankful she'd traveled to the world of Honkai Impact 3rd, not Honkai Gakuen. Otherwise, relying solely on her livestream would be pointless, a recipe for death.
Even if everyone in Honkai Impact 3rd knew all the plot, it wouldn't change anything.
Thinking of this, and the current state of the Honkai in Honkai Impact 3rd, Xiyue once again expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Pink Jesus.
Amen!
Then, glancing at the world, before anyone in the livestream reacted, she addressed them.
"A happy reunion in the underworld is still a happy ending!"
"I'll also tell you about the story of Honkai Gakuen in another time and space in a future livestream."
"Don't let this video bother you; the two worlds are different."
"Okay, that's it for this livestream. See you next time."
With these words, Xiyue ended the stream at her usual lightning speed.
She didn't need to guess how intense the reaction would be once everyone realized what was happening. She'd rather be criticized during her next livestream than be criticized by everyone this time.
Then, she stretched and collapsed onto the bed, burying herself in the pillow.
While squinting, she thought about what excuse she'd use to get a free meal from Mei.
Even though she'd just stabbed Mei, that was Yuexi's doing. What did it have to do with her, Xiyue?
Then, Xiyue happily checked her points, preparing to reward herself with a few shots.
.......
Just as Yuexi was leaving the livestream, the annual meeting of the Fire Moth Council was about to begin.

Chapter 145: Elysian Realm Lady Killer Elysia
Previous Era, Sundown Alley, Aponia’s Sanatorium.
"Hey Xiyue, it seems the punishment last time was a bit light. Keep lying like this, and the punishment will be even more severe~"
Elysia came back to her senses from the video. She thought about what Yuexi had said and recalled that punishment. That little devil Yuexi had clearly promised her back in bed.
To think she’d broken her promise.
As for the punishment for breaking her promise, Elysia’s eyes flashed, and she licked her lips.
She looked forward to the system’s next face-to-face mission!
As for the content of the final video, Elysia wasn’t too concerned at the moment. After all, it wasn’t easy to get much information from a single video, let alone from another space-time world.
They didn’t have time to worry about other worlds at the moment.
After all, the Honkai they faced hadn’t yet been resolved. After learning they had ultimately lost to the Honkai, Elysia felt a constant sense of urgency. This sense of urgency made her want to do something.
But thinking of Fire Moth’s current situation, Elysia felt powerless.
She could handle all sorts of Honkai beasts, but when it came to dealing with those defenseless congressmen, she felt profoundly powerless.
Beside her, the ever-optimistic Pardofelis quickly recovered from her sadness. Furthermore, she had her new pet, Can, and was now happily playing with it.
She even took Can to the lawn in the yard to play with the children from the nursing home.
As for Mobius and Aponia, they remained silent. Mobius had been telling Aponia about the tragedies and consequences of the Honkai disease. The atmosphere was a bit strange.
Seeing this, Elysia hurried over and put her arm around Aponia’s arm. Aponia instinctively tried to avoid her, but failed. Elysia’s body pressed tightly against Aponia’s, a sweet smile on her face as she spoke cheerfully to her.
"Aponia, beautiful lady, would you like to join Fire Moth?"
Mobius, arms folded, glanced at Elysia but remained silent. She knew what Elysia was up to without even thinking. Aponia, however, was slightly surprised by Elysia’s words.
Looking at Elysia, who was so close, she asked softly.
"Miss Elysia…"
Before she could finish, Elysia grabbed her hand and said joyfully, "Don’t be so formal, just call me Ellie~"
"How about joining Fire Moth~~?"
"Although Fire Moth doesn’t have a good reputation outside, I think everyone here is ordinary people working hard to keep civilization going!"
After defeating the Fifth Honkai, the Fire Moth Council began to degenerate. No longer wholeheartedly fighting the Honkai, they used it as an excuse to commit many inexplicable, even ruthless acts.
As a result, the outside world’s reputation for Fire Moth grew increasingly negative.
Aponia looked at Elysia’s sweet, innocent smile, which seemed to heal everything. She lowered her gaze, pondered for a moment, and then slowly asked Elysia.
"You… aren’t afraid of me? Don’t you think I’m a sinner?"
Mobius had just talked to her a lot. Mobius, a well-known scientist, rationally pointed out the consequences of Aponia adopting these Honkai disease patients.
"The existence of these people will cause even more deaths."
The source of the Honkai is the outbreak of the Honkai.
In this era, having experienced five Eruption, everyone knows what an outbreak means.
Aponia knew this, but she concealed it deep in her heart, ignoring it. She couldn’t bear to see these poor people die before her.
She couldn’t do it.
But when Mobius solemnly told her that this would lead to even more deaths, Aponia fell into confusion.
Therefore, this is why she spoke to Elysia.
Another reason was that she knew her innate abilities had also been noticed by Elysia and Mobius, and that Aponia was naturally vulnerable in front of these two officials.
Aponia met Elysia’s gaze with infinite sorrow, awaiting her response.
Elysia, a puzzled expression on her face, smiled and asked Aponia in return, "Fear, sinner? Are you worried that I’ll stay away from you because your beauty outshines mine?"
"Hehe."
Elysia laughed happily and continued.
"No~"
"I like beautiful girls~"
Aponia’s calmness was disturbed by Elysia’s words, but this time she didn’t withdraw her hand. Instead, she addressed Elysia again.
"Miss Elysia, you should understand what I’m asking from my conversation with Dr. Mobius.
I adopted these poor people. I know the consequences of doing so, but I can’t bear to watch them die in agony.
But doing so will, as Dr. Mobius said, lead to even greater disasters and kill even more people.
Miss Elysia, tell me, am I a sinner?"
Aponia spoke slowly, her words tinged with sadness, confusion, and even more sorrow. Elysia listened to her words, shook her head, and, clutching Aponia’s hand, replied.
"Sinner?"
"But before me, I see only an ordinary girl, filled with sorrow. No matter what the future holds, I can see at a glance that you are, at heart, a person who gives her all and uses her kindness."
Aponia could no longer maintain her composure upon hearing this.
For some reason, her heart beat faster, and the sadness in her eyes, once filled with sorrow, gradually faded, replaced by determination and gratitude.
Aponia took a deep breath and let it out.
Looking at the sweet girl before her, Aponia’s mind once again recalled the future that Mobius had described, and the last trace of confusion within her heart lingered. "But I… would bring disaster."
"If I hadn’t taken in those suffering from the Honkai disease, perhaps the future Dr. Mobius described wouldn’t have happened."
Aponia was terrified. She was afraid that everything she was doing was meaningless. She was afraid that the children in the sanatorium would die in agony in the future. She was afraid that these poor people in the sanatorium would disappear. She was even more afraid that she would cause more deaths.
But Elysia still shook her head.
"It’s not your fault. Even if you took them in, the Honkai would have broken out somewhere else. You simply did what you thought was right."
Hearing this, Aponia stared intently into Elysia’s rosy eyes and murmured.
"The right thing?"
Then, a thought struck her, and after a moment’s pause, she continued.
"That’s how they believed in me."
Just as she was about to say something, Elysia made a move, tightly grasping both of her hands and speaking to her, interrupting her.
"Aponia, don’t overthink it~
Besides, Honkai disease isn’t incurable. Please give us a little more time. We at Fire Moth will definitely develop a cure."
Hearing Elysia’s words, Aponia raised her deep blue eyes, radiating a light at that moment, and asked Elysia.
"Miss Elysia, are you serious?"
Elysia nodded, then turned to Mobius and spoke crisply.
"Of course."
"Dr. Mobius is incredibly powerful~"
Mobius snorted at Elysia’s gaze, but seeing Aponia’s expectant gaze, she paused for a moment and nodded. "There are no results yet, but there might be in the future."
As for her confidence, it stemmed from two factors: first, Mobius’s confidence in her own abilities; second, she had learned from Yuexi that Honkai disease wasn’t incurable.
If it’s curable, there’s a way.
After hearing Mobius’s response, Aponia’s expression, always tinged with compassion, finally brightened.
And Elysia, seizing the opportunity, extended her invitation to Aponia.
"Then, Aponia, join our big family~"
As she spoke, Elysia’s face leaned close to Aponia’s.
...
On the transport plane
Elysia and Mobius sat together. Elysia, with a look of joy, added Aponia and Pardofelis to her small group.
The group was called: Ellie’s Paradise.
Looking at the growing number of group members, Elysia shook her head happily. "Dear everyone, see you next time at Fire Moth~ I’ll miss you!"
After sending this message, Elysia put away her address book, then reached out and tightly embraced Mobius’s arm. She smiled at her and sighed.
"Doctor, what a wonderful and blissful few days~ I've had such a great time."
"Doctor, are you happy~"
Mobius glanced at Elysia but didn’t answer. However, she no longer resisted her embrace as before; she had gradually gotten used to it.
After a moment’s hesitation, she addressed Elysia.
"Are you planning to gather the Thirteen Flame-Chasers together early?"
Hearing Mobius’s words, Elysia leaned forward, trying to nuzzle her pretty face, but she blocked her with her hand. Elysia gave her a resentful look. But soon, a sweet smile returned to her face, and she spoke sweetly to Mobius.
"As expected of a doctor, you easily understood my thoughts and are so in tune with me~"
Mobius rolled her eyes at Elysia after hearing this. She didn’t want to pay much attention to Elysia’s sweet talk; it would slow down her experiments.
"You know, now’s not the right time to have them join Fire Moth."
"Even if you and I both know Mei will take action, Mei alone isn’t enough to change the council. There’s no question of whether she can succeed."
Hearing this, Elysia stopped talking.
Fire Moth was no longer the organization single-mindedly fighting the Honkai. Their successive victories had inflated the minds of most council members, making them arrogant and believing that the Honkai was nothing special, and that they could surely defeat it with their current strength.
As a result, the powerful figures in the vast organization known as Fire Moth—the members of the parliament—gradually began to degenerate, no longer working for humanity but for their own selfish interests, committing despicable acts.
Mobius felt sick to her stomach when she thought of how these people were trying to make her submit, using her inventions as tools for their power and wealth.
Elysia raised her head, gazed into Mobius’s green eyes, and smiled.
"Doctor, isn’t that why we’re back?"
Hearing this, Mobius continued.
"Have you considered the consequences?"
Elysia didn’t answer directly. Instead, she stood up, took Mobius’s hands, and said with joy.
"What do you think, Dr. Mobius?"
Then, she pulled Mobius into her arms, hugged her tightly, and rubbed her face against hers.
The newest transport plane quickly headed for Fire Moth headquarters, carrying Fire Moth’s strongest warriors and most talented scientists.
The two of them were on the transport because Pardofelis and Aponia weren’t going to Fire Moth.
Aponia finally agreed to join Fire Moth, but wouldn’t leave Sundown Alley.
After all, there were children and injured people in the sanatorium who needed her care. Pardofelis, on the other hand, wanted to stay and help Aponia, and she couldn’t bear to leave the children there.
Elysia readily agreed.
After all, now wasn’t the right time to return to Fire Moth.
Elysia wanted to wait until tomorrow’s meeting, until Mobius’s meta-morph experiment was successful, and until Fire Moth returned to its original direction.
Only then would she be able to take these future Thirteen Flame-Chasers back to Fire Moth.
After all, even she was still in a trance about the turmoil tomorrow’s meeting would cause.
However, this trip had been very rewarding for Elysia. As Mobius had said, she wanted to gather the Thirteen Flame-Chasers ahead of time, which was one reason she went to Eden and Pardofelis.
Of course, another reason was to relax.
After all, the atmosphere in Fire Moth was too oppressive right now, and she disliked it.
...
Mei, the protagonist of the impending events, was still in the lab calculating her plans for tomorrow. Although she had the support of the COCOON Unit and Kevin’s team, she was no match for the councilors who held the majority of power in Fire Moth.
For this reason, she needed to be fully prepared.
Unbeknownst to her, reinforcements were on their way.
