Curse of Strahd Reloaded Update: Arc M: The Den of Wolves & Arc N: Argynvost's Beacon are now available
🕑 Added 2024-01-31 15:14:31 +0000 UTCI'm excited to share the sixth public installment of my revised Curse of Strahd guide, Curse of Strahd: Reloaded. This new release contains the first half of Arc M: The Den of Wolves and the first half of Arc N: Argynvost's Beacon.
Specifically, this new update contains:
- Lake Baratok. A new encounter with Bianca Stoyanovich, and a night-time stakeout with Ezmerelda d'Avenir in the Svalich Woods.
- Werewolf Den. A stealth infiltration to find Ilya Krezkov and the Holy Symbol of Ravenkind, plus a trio of tense social encounters and a rescue mission to complete in the dungeons of Castle Ravenloft.
- Argynvostholt. An dungeon-crawl investigation directed by an imprisoned Sir Godfrey Gwilym, new encounters with a trio of friendly spirits, and a climactic confrontation with Vladimir Horngaard.
- Berez. A new, optional side-quest to avoid the wrath of the phantom warriors in Argynvostholt for low-level parties, featuring a Barovian witch, the roc of Mt. Ghakis, and the ancient battlefield of the Order of the Silver Dragon.
In addition, this new update contains a number of edits, tweaks, and additions to previously released portions of the guide. You can find a full changelog here.

Please also note that I've changed Arc O: The Moonlit Murders to be Arc O: Tales of Vallaki, an optional downtime anthology arc taking place in the leadup to Arc P: Dinner with the Devil. I expect to publish this next arc, as well as Arc P: Dinner with the Devil, by the end of February.

Hey Carl! It's an optional downtime arc that I've deprioritized until I've finished the rest of the guide, so no need to worry about it now.

Hello! Wanted to ask what happened to Arc N : Tales of Vallaki , is it deprecated or is its development pushed back to work on the other content? My players are soon elaving argynvostholt to prepare for ravenloft so im curious.

Hey! I'm not sure what you mean, sorry - he gets to Oathbind them if they swear on the blade or if he "kills" them with it (see his statblock for the full details).

Hey Dragna, would it be possible if I gave Vladimir the Oathbind Feature no matter If the PCs swear on his blade or not? I don't see a way how anyone in my party will willingly forsake their path for a feature they are not aware of in the first place. Thank you for replying!

Thanks for this. My players just met Ezmerelda and should be heading to the Werewolf den next session. They've ignored Argynvostholt for now because they are overloaded with quests, but they'll get there eventually. Is it better to give feedback here or on the Reddit thread?
