First off, congratulations on another year of maksoween complete. Each look was amazing! (Including this one.) I'm sure that others have already echoed this in the past, but you bring such joy to my life, Rachel! Thank you for everything you do. Now! Secondly, as also I see others have commented: If 13 is too much, please know we are totally okay with less. We want you to take care of yourself and enjoy the process. Hope you are recovering well after your long haul and lots of snuggles have been had from Frodo. (May he too heal well from his surgery!)

Loved this final look! But we love you so much so def think about less than 10 for next year I’d say anywhere from 4-7 would be better. We don’t want you to burn yourself out just for content. It’s our fav season and I’d rather you do less looks so you can enjoy the fall/halloween season instead of dreading it or being super overwhelmed and stressed every fall/Halloween season. Please take care of yourself. As a follower from the beginning I’d much rather you make less content and be happy than burn out. We’ll always be here for you ❤️❤️❤️🥹❤️❤️❤️

This was fun, considering you were at the end of Maxoween and your energy was low—it came out great! Maybe a solution for your stress and exhaustion would be to avoid getting so many costumes done in one short period. Instead, set aside a wee bit of time each month to assemble a costume specifically for the 13 days of Maxoween. It could be a monthly challenge. You have many other projects throughout the year. However, this might be a solution. Then, you wouldn't miss out on the fun parts of Maxoween. At any rate, from one spooky New England gal to another- Happy Halloween!

dont feel bad needing to scale back on projects! i have chronic fatigue syndrome and this year inktober & a full time job took it out of me, so i tapped out of drawing every single day and decided to just do the prompts that came quickest to me. it's taken me my entire 4 years of having cfs to realize that there's no shame in taking things easy for the sake of your health. loved watching you work on this project, the tombstone is something im genuinely a little envious of lmaoo, i want that thang in my yard

It takes a brave person to admit they need to scale back. As a fellow perfectionist, I struggle a lot with if my work is something to be proud of etc. I'm lucky enough to have a mentor tell me that I should remind myself of all the steps it took to get where I am. This reminds me of all the work I did, and it helps me take more pride in even the smaller things! I now pass this to you. If you decide to scale back to 3 looks, that was a journey of discovery to get to that point! We'll all be here supporting whatever you decide! Rooting for ya!

It turned out awesome!! Less Maksoween looks sounds perfect, 10 is still a tonne of looks (10x the number of most people who do Halloween looks!!). I agree with others that it would be good to give yourself some more time to just vibe and enjoy Halloween season too!! ❤️

Love all your Halloween looks and effort but if you need to cut back we won't love it any less! I have been going hard this October and I totally failed making my Halloween dress this year but it just made me get creative and find an alternative outfit! 🎃

Just so you know, we'll all still be here next year and we will hold you to that promise! As much as I've loved seeing all the looks on instagram, and the video's here and on youtube, it's genuinly scary to think you have to work yourself so hard for this. You can probably cut the looks down to 7 or 8 or so and it would still be a bangin' maksoween! I don't comment here (or anywhere) often at all, but felt very compelled to come say this. I know nothing anyone can say will make you feel differently- BUT You could do three looks for Maksoween 2025 and we would be just as thrilled. We love when you are able to just throw something together last minute, and when you are able to spend weeks on something just mind blowing. Internally it may feel like you are slacking or failing, but externally we are in awe.
