Hey Patrons,
So here's an idea I've had for a few years.
What if we paid a dev to make us a game so we can learn about the business side of game dev? What if we used the game to make videos about publishing deals, influencer marketing, designing trailers and even how Steam works?
This is the first episode in a new series on Noclip Crew where we take our first steps into game development with the help of Alex Austin.
This first episode was a blast to put together and only took a day and a half to edit. We're going to get them out every month or two as we tackle various aspects of games publishing and marketing.
So don't worry if you think we're focusing on this over other docs, we are currently editing videos on Black & White, Crystal Dynamics, Tomb Raider, Legacy of Kain, Hyper Light Breaker and a few secret once you'll lose your mind over.
As for the game we'll probably be opening up beta keys to all patrons soon but for now production tier patrons can get a key by DMing me on Patreon.

Somehow I completely missed this post before. Really looking forward to playing a round or two once it's available. I really enjoyed the '90 Stunts game and even wrote a crappy terrain editor in Quick Basic for it :-). I think it would be really interesting to get more insight on how the developer side of steam works. The video shows a bit of that and I think it was really interesting to see. I certainly wouldn't mind seeing more of that.
