Hey Patrons,
The first video this month is one we hadn't planned for. We got the call a few weeks ago that The MADE - Oakland's video game museum that we've filmed at a number of times - was having to close down immediately due to Covid-19. So we drove over to interview Alex Handy about the work they've done over the past 10 years, how they are working to store the museum and when the place is likely to return.
Make sure to check our last week's Patron Update for news on what's coming down the documentary pipe this month.

I've been made more aware of the state of games preservation by the Bombcast over the years, which has made me a believer in MADE, despite never having visited myself. Thanks for sharing this - I donated what I could!

Absolutely gutting. :,( Donated.
Thank you so much giving this amazing team the spotlight. This stuff is important for preservation and the future, and I hope you discover more amazing and inspirational people like them. Best of luck to Alex and team.

Thanks so much. They do amazing work. It's a great space, I'm hopeful we'll get to film there again sometime.

Yea in fact the landlord's were particularly nasty here. We didn't get into it because it's ongoing but they were really taking the piss.

Watching businesses close down because they can't afford rent during COVID is really exposing just how little value landlords provide.

Heart-breaking video. I had no idea the museum existed and now became one of their patrons thanks to this. Hope we can all come together!

This video is heartbreaking as games preservation and history are topics I care deeply for, and the MADE is a place I've always wanted to visit, but never have been able to. I couldn't give much, but I really hope it raises the funds it needs.
