Astro's Playroom: From PS5 Tech Demo to PlayStation Nostalgia Trip (4k Doc!)

Hey Patrons!
Here it is - our first documentary in 4k. This one was a real team effort with both JEremy and myself running the edit, Jeremy filming gorgeous b-roll on our new camera, Frank capturing an insane amount of 4k gameplay and Megan doing some last minute captions.
In it we talk to Team Asobi's Nicolas Doucet about how Astro's Playroom started out as a collection of tech demos for the PlayStation 5's DualSense controller, and evolved into a celebration of PlayStation's history. We tried to turn this video into a bit of a nostalgia trip ourselves.
The release took days longer than I'd have liked because I got my covid vaccine and was sick, and also because rendering in 4k was causing severe errors. Thankfully I found a solution and got it up today.
It's been a real labor of love so please, let us know what you think!
Hit that 4k button!

Great insight! I've never owned a Sony device in my life, but have been following the industry forever now and this is thourgholy enjoyable.

Woo 4k!!!! Looks amazing. The GPU song commentary over the credits was perfect. I wish he was able to give you the "scottish version" ;-). Would love a super cut of all of the little bots referencing PS history with the GPU song going in the background. Next up HDR Color grading. JK Thanks for the Great Docks.

Oh my god we have to clean stuff so much now! Dusting is one thing but the discoloration on old consoles is hard to hide now :)

Sorry for the disappointment m0zzy - we pull everyone from the Executive Producer tier which you're not currently (at least that's what our end says). Please feel free to DM us on Patreon if there's any confusion. We've loads more docs coming and want to make sure you're satisfied. Thanks for watching!
