Hello Patrons!
First an update for this tier: It's been a while since we talked as the vote for Greatest Hits #03 happened while I was flying to Ireland for the rest of the month. In that time I had a think about this tier and while there is always a decent amount to talk to you about with Greatest Hits, I feel like we should expand the focus. There is always much more to talk about that we'd rather share with a smaller group. And also because the vote locks 66% of the people in the tier to talking about a game they didn't vote for!
So from now on Production Meetings will not only be a place where we talk about the production of Greatest Hits - but also a place to chat about other projects we're working on. Stuff we're not ready to talk to all the patrons about quite yet. Videos that are in production, and ideas we've been percolating.
So next week's production meeting we're not only going to talk about our next update of Greatest Hits about DMA Design (GTA, Lemmings) but also three unannounced projects we're working on. It should be a fun chat, and probably longer than previous meetings.
How can I watch / get involved?
Well first of all you don't have to turn up, fully researched with a notepad and pen. These are meant to be a patron reward, not homework. So there are loads of ways to help us out or just enjoy the content, including;
- Give us suggestions and ideas in the comments below. We will bring them up in the meeting even if you are not there.
- Join live and ask questions in the chat. It's all about collaboration in these things so get involved if you want!
- Just join the stream and lurk. We have plenty to discuss between ourselves so feel free to just hang out and listen.
- Watch the VOD after the live event. We'll keep the stream punchy and entertaining so it's a fun watch for those of you who can't be there live. This post functions as the scheduling notice, the embed for the live event, and the VOD. So just come back here to watch it.
So what is the focus of the meeting?
We're going to go through the history of DMA Design and discuss what games should be the focus. We'll discuss the key people we want to talk to and the areas of each game that we think would be most interesting to discuss. Both the gameplay and the cultural impact of their games.
I'll also be revealing three new remote projects on 2021 games we're currently working on and opening up the chat to discuss how we might add some production flair to those.
Oh, and the RV will probably come up.
See you then!
Danny
