Making Proxy Rig Script (Python)
🕑 Added 2023-09-27 03:22:27 +0000 UTCHi,
Have you ever tried to make a proxy rig to make your rig faster for animation playblast? And end up select very single edgeloop for each joints, detach, then extract mesh, then repeat. Yes, I was in this situation. Each time it costs me up to 1 hour or more to finish.
Hope this script will save you (and me) some time for this task:
Loft feature added:
Currently works with Truong rigs and Advanced Skeleton rigs. If you have rig system that is not working with the script, feel free to send me a sample rig.
01/Dec/2019:
* If you have Error: "Cannot perform boolean operation", try to use the later version of Maya.
* Or use Reduce Mesh button (included in the script) to reduce the body mesh first.
10/5/2020:v16, fix issue with rigs have duplicated named joints
