"That's tough" is literally the theme of Daiya no Ace and the reason it just tops everything for me. Its not just about sports its about the emotions, developments, failures, and camaraderie that makes this anime so freaking POWERFUL

That scene at the end with the Chris dialogue cutting to Sawamura always hits.. Love this episode man. The Zaizen parallel, Furuyas attitude, Chris’ final moments in a high school game, Coach’s heart, and the teams reaction to Chris not being in the first string… Time for Daiya to really begin!

I honestly LOVE how the coach said dont ever stop making me so proud because he's acknowledging all the hard work those guys put in over the last 2 years despite not making 1st string. God this show hits me so hard I love it

That 'Grow stronger' theme hits every damn time.

YUUKI the goat captain "There's only one thing we can do. we have to get stronger, so we can fight for those who can't!" The OST that comes on at times like these is just perfect. Ace of diamond sure knows how to bring out the feels and that's why it is my favourite sports anime it has everything. To think we are really only at the training arc lmao
