Coach lowkey knows Ryo is hurt, that's why he said "He's tough, that one" and Harucchi and Mochi looked at him after he said that like "Oh, he noticed too?". But Coach can't just replace him that easily, it leaves a gap in the team that you can't really fill and everbody knows it. That's why it was such a tough call what to do in the first place. Ryo probably thought long and hard about it.

Kataoka didn't know Ryousuke was hurt coming into the game. I think the look to them was because, like Haruichi, Ryousukes play thus far has indicated that he's not 100% so Kataoka NOW has an idea that he's not completely fine but isn't sure what's wrong.
