No you’re right, it was just a nightmare Thorfinn was having and he was dreaming of Einar and his family as people that were raided by him and Askeladds group.

From reading the manga and watching this again i dont think Askeladd's bunch raided Einars village, what Thorfinn was having nightmares about was that he was raiding people like einar back in his day, i could be wrong though
