The Fallen Saint Plain, a plain where a Fighting Saint had perished, was named simply and bluntly, without much symbolism, yet the character "Saint" alone signified so much.
In this era, when Fighting Emperors were hidden, Fighting Saints had become the highest level of power in the Dou Qi continent, towering above all beings.
And yet such an entity had fallen here.
Green Heart chewed over the name and then nodded, "Fallen Saint Plain, though simple, carries an imposing air, after all, it's tied to the unreachable heights of a Fighting Saint."
Xiao Ze shook his head and laughed, "Are you trying to compliment me in a roundabout way?"
"Ha ha, the strength of our leader, Lord Alliance, is well known, there's no need for Green Heart to elaborate. With your presence, the Heaven Alliance can stand unshaken, as stable as a mountain," Green Heart said directly.
"Flattering indeed, but I can't always stay in Heaven Alliance, so we need to seek some external power for help," Xiao Ze casually remarked, not taking Green Heart's praise to heart as he was already immune to such flattery.
Green Heart was momentarily stunned, then quickly realized that the invaders from the Soul Hall might not represent the entirety of their strength.
"To say it's just the tip of the iceberg might be an exaggeration, but the Soul Hall definitely possesses a stronger presence."
"Do you mean to suggest that Heaven Alliance should form an alliance with the powers of Central Province?" Green Heart naturally thought of Central Province, as aside from establishing a base in the Northwestern Continent, Xiao Ze had also made his mark in Central Province.
"Exactly, come with me; there's a worthy power leader to win over," Xiao Ze stood and said to Green Heart, who hurriedly followed him. Seeing that Xiao Ze didn't elaborate, Green Heart quietly followed him to the deep parts of the Xiao family's territory in the Heaven Alliance.
In the Xiao family's council hall, key members of the Xiao family were almost all present. They were surprised to see Xiao Ze accompanied by Green Heart and greeted him warmly; Green Heart had taken great care of the Xiao family over the years.
Xiao Ze glanced around; the three Xiao brothers and Elder Yao were all there, except for Xiao Zhan.
Noticing Xiao Ze's puzzled look, Xiao Ding laughed and explained, "Father has gone into closed-door cultivation; the pills you gave him earlier have led to a breakthrough in his cultivation."
"That's good to hear. Actually, I'm here to discuss something with Elder Yao."
"Me?" Elder Yao, sitting in a chair, turned to Xiao Ze, surprised by his sudden attention.
"The Xiao family is under the protection of Heaven Alliance, and if not exposed under the watchful eye of the Soul Hall, they could safely remain unharmed in the Northwestern Continent," Xiao Ze stated plainly.
"But now the situation is different; even though Heaven Alliance dominates the Northwestern Continent, making it as secure as an iron barrel, it would easily be smashed when faced with the Soul Hall."
"I have urgent matters to handle myself and cannot be everywhere at once, so I must enhance Heaven Alliance's own strength, but that won't be enough to resist the Soul Hall in the short term."
"Therefore, I seek the help of Central Province's top powers to form a mutual support alliance."
"Elder Yao, you have a deep connection with one of the Four Pillars, the Meteor Pavilion. I wonder if you could help."
Hearing Xiao Ze's words, Xiao Yan looked hopefully at Elder Yao.
"You are my disciple, and I am naturally willing to protect the Xiao family," Elder Yao said with a smile.
"Xiao Ze, I can represent the Meteor Pavilion and decide to ally with Heaven Alliance."
Xiao Yan also breathed a sigh of relief.
After all, Elder Yao initially did not want to return to the Meteor Pavilion, not wanting to drag his old friend into trouble with the Soul Hall.
But now, to protect the Xiao family, Elder Yao was willing to take charge in the Meteor Pavilion again, which moved Xiao Yan deeply.
"Teacher..."
"Hehe, actually, forming an alliance is very beneficial for both of us," Elder Yao chuckled.
"If we really can form an alliance to resist the Soul Hall, we won't have to live in hiding anymore. When the Soul Hall wants to make a move against us, they'll also have to think twice."
"Anyway, Elder Yao, you've done me a great favor, and I thank you here," Xiao Ze bowed in thanks.
He could negotiate an alliance on behalf of Heaven Alliance because he was its leader and had the power to decide.
But he could not represent the Pill Tower; although he was the president of the Pill Tower, he was far from being able to decide on the major affairs of the entire Pill Tower alone.
The only one who could really decide the major affairs of the entire Pill Tower was the old ancestor of the Pill Tower, a true six-star Fighting Saint!
And since the old ancestor of the Pill Tower was traveling abroad, the major affairs of the Pill Tower were generally decided by the Grand Elder Council of the Little Pill Tower.
The Grand Elder Council had ten seats, and Xiao Ze, as the president of the Pill Tower, naturally had one vote.
But according to Xiao Ze's estimation, it should not be too difficult to win support; he had good relations with the other two presidents and was highly regarded by the Little Pill Tower's Grand Elder.
The Grand Elder had a lot of sway in the Grand Elder Council.
As long as the Grand Elder agreed, the other elders would likely not oppose, and it would be possible to obtain a majority of the votes.
"Since we're dealing with the Soul Hall, we can't be careless; the strength of the Soul Hall is extremely terrifying, especially since the Soul Hall is backed by the ancient Soul Clan," Elder Yao said gravely.
"The combined strength of Heaven Alliance and Meteor Pavilion is far from enough to oppose the Soul Hall."
"I can return to the Pill Tower to seek support, and it's highly likely that an alliance will be formed. Then, with the three forces united, other top powers in Central Province could also be considered."
"I can help with that; I have some connections with some old folks from top powers in Central Province," Elder Yao pondered for a moment and then smiled.
"That would indeed trouble Elder Yao," Xiao Ze said.
"Hehe, actually, as a genuine ninth-grade alchemist grandmaster, your word carries more weight than mine," Elder Yao joked.
"That's different, Elder Yao. You had relationships with them before, which makes it easier to communicate. If an alliance is purely for profit, it might also be lost for profit," Xiao Ze responded.
Hearing this, Elder Yao nodded thoughtfully, "Currently, the top powers worth winning over... Burn Flame Valley and Flower Sect are good choices."
"Other powers... over the years, Xiao Yan has offended some, or even made enemies during his adventures."
"That's a bit tricky."
Hearing Elder Yao's words, Xiao Yan scratched his head, a bit embarrassed, "I was young and impulsive then..."
"That's nothing; with the Pill Tower, Burn Flame Valley, Meteor Pavilion, and Flower Sect, four top powers united, we're already strong enough to oppose the Soul Hall," Xiao Ze shook his head, not too concerned, "As long as we can form an alliance and show strong enough power, countless strong warriors and powers will want to join the alliance, looking for shade under a big tree."
With this, the matters of the alliance were preliminarily settled, and they would step by step win over other top powers.
