Xiao Ze recalled the moment when the Void Swallowing Flame broke through to the Emperor Soul Realm—there were hundreds of soul origin orbs! Each soul origin orb was comparable to what Xiao Yan had acquired from the Human Hall. Just one orb could propel Xiao Yan from the late Heavenly Realm to the perfect Heavenly Realm. According to Elder Yao's estimates, forming such a terrifying soul origin orb required at least millions of soul entities! The Void Swallowing Flame needed hundreds of these orbs to break through to the Emperor Soul Realm. One could only imagine how desperate the Soul Hall was for soul origins, and the chaos they caused in other regions of the continent was just the tip of the iceberg!
Compared to other continents where outright chaos was instigated, the Soul Hall's activities in Central Province could be considered quite restrained. However, from the Pill Tower's perspective, the Soul Hall's current actions seemed increasingly wild and rampant. Xiao Ze hesitated for a moment before speaking to the two chairmen.
"The Soul Hall's actions are becoming more frantic and rampant; I fear there is a shocking conspiracy behind this. Their operations in Central Province are restrained compared to their activities outside, where the Soul Hall can freely instigate wars across hundreds of empires to harvest soul origins!"
"I came back from the Northwestern Continent, where the Heaven Alliance, which I established and which dominates the region, still suffered from an invasion by the Soul Hall."
Xiao Ze detailed the entire sequence of events without hiding his identity. The two chairmen, already aware that Xiao Ze was a descendant of the ancient Xiao clan, were not particularly surprised. However, they became extremely serious when they heard Xiao Ze's speculation about the Soul Hall's shocking conspiracy. The current actions of the Soul Hall were indeed increasingly insane, and it was impossible for the chairmen to believe there wasn't some monumental plot behind it.
"Xiao Ze, have you come back this time to facilitate an alliance between the Pill Tower and the Heaven Alliance?"
Xiao Ze nodded, and the two chairmen exchanged a glance, a hint of hesitation in their eyes. "Chairman Xuan Kong and Chairman Xuan Yi, please hear me out. The Soul Hall is urgently collecting soul origins, and as alchemists possess particularly strong soul powers, they are prime targets for the Soul Hall."
"It's foreseeable that the Pill Tower's alchemists will face increasingly frequent hunts by the Soul Hall! In such circumstances, if the Pill Tower does not take action, it could damage its foundation."
"Although the Pill Tower is a loose organization of alchemists, if we simply watch as our alchemists are hunted by the Soul Hall, they might not stay within the Pill Tower much longer. After all, if the Pill Tower can't provide protection, why would they continue to stay?"
Hearing Xiao Ze's words, the two chairmen smiled wryly. "Xiao Ze, we are also inclined towards an alliance, forming a stronger force to jointly resist the Soul Hall. However, we still need to communicate with the Grand Elder, as the old ancestor is not currently in the Pill Tower, and such significant matters must go through a vote by the Grand Elder Council."
"We are concerned that some in the Elder Council may hold stubborn views, sticking to the so-called rules of the Pill Tower and unwilling to change."
"That's why we need to strive for it," Xiao Ze said, rolling up the scroll and standing up firmly. "Haha, right, it's no use being hesitant here. It's better to directly go and persuade those old folks."
Xuan Kongzi laughed and stood up, following Xiao Ze to a wall. Seeing their actions, Xuan Yi's expression of helplessness also turned into determination, and she followed them.
The spatial pathway slowly formed, and without hesitation, the trio entered it.
The Little Pill Tower Secret Realm, where towering peaks pierced the sky and rich energy filled the air, carried a faint scent of medicinal herbs. "Every time I come to the Little Pill Tower, I feel refreshed," Xiao Ze took a deep breath, the faint medicinal fragrance revitalizing his spirit.
"Haha, at your age, you might not be used to staying long in the Little Pill Tower; it's more suited for us old folks to spend our twilight years," Xuan Kongzi chuckled, thinking that Xiao Ze's novelty might be because he hadn't spent much time in the Little Pill Tower. Compared to the vibrant world outside, the Little Pill Tower was better for quiet cultivation and retirement, its unchanging nature nearly boring!
"Perhaps."
The trio made their way to the peak of the green mountain, chatting casually along the way. They occasionally greeted other elders of the Pill Tower but did not linger too long.
Soon, they arrived at the stone cottage of the Grand Elder of the Little Pill Tower, who had already opened the stone door in anticipation of their arrival.
The Grand Elder's deep and soulful eyes looked directly at Xiao Ze, showing a hint of surprise as he could no longer see through him. "Such a formidable young man," was the first thought that came to the Grand Elder's mind upon seeing Xiao Ze again, followed by a chuckle. "What brings the three of you here together?"
After exchanging glances, Xuan Kongzi stepped forward to explain, supplemented by the scroll Xiao Ze handed over. The Grand Elder's brow furrowed slightly after hearing Xuan Kongzi's words and examining the scroll.
"The power of the Soul Hall is indeed formidable, especially since they are backed by the ancient Soul Clan. However, if we do not resist the Soul Hall's attacks on our alchemists out of fear of their strength, then there is no need for the Pill Tower to continue existing. We might as well surrender and be at their mercy."
"Yet, with the Pill Tower's strength alone, we cannot oppose the Soul Hall; seeking cooperation is indeed a good choice."
Hearing this, a smile of relief appeared on Xiao Ze's face. If the Grand Elder of the Little Pill Tower agreed, the alliance was essentially settled.
The Grand Elder placed the scroll aside, and his soul power spread out. Soon after, the other six seats of the Little Pill Tower's Grand Elder Council also arrived at the Grand Elder's stone cottage. After a brief time informing the other elders, the Grand Elder slowly spoke.
"In the absence of the old ancestor, the Grand Elder Council has the authority to decide on major matters for the Pill Tower. Does anyone have any objections?"
The other elders looked at each other, still digesting the Grand Elder's words, while Xiao Ze and the others were the first to speak up.
"We three all agree on the alliance. If we do not ally now, by the time the Soul Hall gradually devours other top forces, it will be too late. Then, seeking help will be impossible."
The other elders nodded slightly, their reasoning sound, but they still looked towards the Grand Elder, who was the primary figure.
Facing everyone's gaze, the Grand Elder did not hide his opinion, "I too am inclined towards an alliance."
With that, the other elders offered no objections, and all agreed to the alliance.
