The design process goes this way: - The first input is the community suggestion descriptions (usually just the brief description you see in the voting polls. - Then I do some research, looking at pictures, illustrations, text descriptions, etc., to enrich my knowledge about whatever I have to create (many times I have no idea at all about how a specific monster is supposed to look, what kind of props were used on a certain setting, or the main features of a given architecture style for example) - After that, I start sketching, putting into the pot my own vision for the suggested idea and how I think it should visually fit into the collection. This leads to the final design of the element. Sometimes it aligns with the poll descriptions quite a lot, but at other times it differs. This is the process I follow for everything you see in the collection :) For this creature, I have been inspired by the so-called "biblically accurate angel illustrations" (which I don't know how accurate they are to the original descriptions, but I found them creepily beautiful). I have adapted the design so it works on a super low res.
