Plleeasseeee don't take this so seriously or think anything I say means I hated this record or hated x or y or z.
There is one song and one song alone that I'd say at this point I HATE....and you all know what that is....everything else is either nebulous, confusing, or something I really like. I AM A SWIFTIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even if after a few listens I decide it really isn't my favorite hey mannn it's no big deal. We're all just here on the big floating rock....something to remember!
(for the record, I don't think Cancelled is "about" Brittany, OR Blake. Neither of them are the issue I have with the song...seen lots of discussion about that already. Idgaf who she's specifically referring to if anyone, she could be talking about Tony the Tiger and I wouldn't care, it's a mess either way. But, the optics of releasing this song when she's being criticized for palling around with MAGA friends is pretty bad, I think we can ALL agree on that.)

I agree. She is heavily influenced by her muse and what they're like as a person. I don't think she would make an album like this for Matty. And if she did make a love album for him I think he would also be featured on it in some way. Maybe even a full combined project like Kurt Vile and Courtney Barnett's album together (they're just friends, but I'm saying like a whole cowritten album where they sing some songs individually and many together)

Devils advocate question here, if things had worked out between Matty and Taylor, do we think we still would have received an album like this? Giving the influence Matty had her on stylistically, I wanna say no? No idea what kind of album we would have received but I think it would have been very different.

Watching this on 10th, I knew the boa was coming off real quick bc the showgirl was not in the room with us😂 Now that the album has marinated I can safely say I only like Elizabeth Taylor. However, the acoustic versions make Wish List and Ruin The Friendship work for me.
