There's something perverse in the fact that since returning to work on Tuesday and resuming a ten-hour work day that I've consistently hit my thousand word target.
In any case, as much as I really, really miss the holidays, it also feels good to be making progress. With this week's writing, the current chapter is now approaching 7k in length, and feels about halfway done; I may have to split it in two to keep it a reasonable length. I've gone too long without publishing any new content and want to have something ready to push out the door next week.
Book 5 currently sits at just a touch over 90k in length. I'm anticipating it'll hit about 110k by the time it's done, at which point I can polish off book 6 and then procede to the finale. Weird to think of Constant actually approaching its conclusion. Approaching, that is, in the sense that the final book will probably be another 80k-100k words in length and so there's still quite a bit of writing ahead, and then editing.
Still. The end is in sight, if you squint enough. Thank you, all of you, for your continued support.
And have a great week.
