Gosh, editing is hard. Clearly, I'm over-thinking things. As is often the case, word count for the week does't reflect the actual quantity written as I've trimmed and chopped a lot of stuff away. The rewrite of chapter 13 is nearly done and should be up this weekend, then I'll return to polishing off the end of chapter 14. After that, I'll be turning my attention back to Who Made the Lamb, I think, for another chapter or two.
Recently, I went digging through old files on my computer. I have old stories and essays that have been transfered from hard drive to hard drive for decades before finding their home in the Cloud, and some of these date back to my high school days, if not earlier. One story, last saved in WordPerfect 5.1 (!) took a little coaxing to open itself, and turned out to be my very first attempt at both gender-bending fiction, and writing an erotic scene.
It's... not very good, but is maybe of interest as a historical document? I must've been about 17 or 18 at the time. Here's an exerpt below:
***
Very old untitled and unfinished story
[isekei-style stuff happens, as the protagonist wakes up in an unknown world, and then... ]
Looking up, I saw the night sky spread above me, crystal clear, the stars silently twinkling so far above me. As I lowered my gaze, I suddenly realised that I wasn't alone.
Close by, a young man was crouched down, difficult to make out in the dim light, but obviously also naked, and looking at me. He was big, that much I could tell, with long hair trailing down to his neck, and clutching a bundle of clothing around his private areas.
I shook my head again, side to side, feeling an odd counterweight to the movement. I stared at the man, my mind still a bit befuddled, but clearing, when another wind brushed against me, this time cooler. I felt goosebumps rise up all over, along my arms, legs, body,...
Suddenly, I had a very bad feeling about my situation, and all sort of odd sensations started to register. With a growing feeling of dread, I slowly looked down...
...and saw two large, well formed breasts, creamy-white in the pale moonlight.
The effect of seeing them was like a bucket of cold water dumped on my head, dispelling all confusion. It was a good thing I was already sitting, because I'm pretty sure I would have fallen down if I hadn't been.
In stunned disbelief, I continued to stare, watching as the breasts, my breasts, gently rose and fell with my every breath. My mind started to run in a tight, angry little circle, and I squeezed my eyes shut, trying hard to blank out the sight and wipe it from my memory.
I felt, well, upset to say the least, and frankly, a little afraid. Hell, it never even occurred to me that something like this could even happen. And those bastards back home, safe and comfortable in their own bodies, hadn't even bothered to warn me of the possibilities! Well, there was no way I was staying, that was damn well certain! The moment I recuperated enough of my strength, and felt a little less tired, I was leaping right back where I belonged, and screw the Overseers and their little test.
My thoughts were interrupted when I felt a hand suddenly grab hold of mine and pull me forward. My eyes flew open.
Shit! I had completely forgotten about the guy!
In one surge, my nakedness, his nakedness, the darkness, all suddenly rose up, and I let out a strangled scream, tearing my hand away from his grasp and backpeddling away from him, my feet slipping in the thick, moist grass.
He started to move forward, then stopped, one arm still reaching out for me. I stopped, breathing heavy, a mess of strange fears, emotions, and sensations rising in me.
Looking around hurriedly, I tried to find something I could use for a weapon, a branch, something, anything, or maybe even some clothing to cover myself up. I didn't find anything, but it occurred to me that the guy wasn't moving forward, or even acting threateningly. Instead, he just continued to stare, and seeing his face for the first time, I noticed the look in his expression, a mixture of concern, fear, and now, hurt.
Calming down, I carefully looked him over, our closeness bringing out details that earlier had been shrouded by the darkness. He really was massive, with a build I could only have dreamed for back on the Isle, muscles rippling beneath darkly tanned skin. Looking at his arms, I sincerely hoped he wasn't about to throttle me, because there was honestly nothing that I could hope to do if he suddenly decided to. I mean, even in my own body, I wouldn't have wanted to tangle with a guy like this. Now, in this body, which definitely felt weaker than my own, I seriously doubt I could've done much more than bruise him before getting knocked senseless.
Still, he looked friendly enough, and I stopped trying to get away. After all, where was I going to go, naked, when I didn't even know where I was?
He seemed to hesitate a bit, opening, then closing his mouth, before opening it again. "Wh... what's wrong?" he said, his voice a deep bass, filled with sincere concern.
What's wrong? You mean aside from the fact that I'm really a fucking guy? I wanted to say, but instead, I carefully thought over my response. After all, as "friendly" and "concerned" as he seemed, I still didn't know where I was, who he was, and what he really wanted.
[a bunch of stuff happens, none of it terribly interesting--then, as now, I clearly had a problem with pacing]
Slowly, my mind cleared of questions, and relaxed. Unfortunately, that left me open to other disturbances. Suddenly, I became acutely aware of the pressure of the sheets against this body's breasts, of the sensitivity of the nipples, of... other things.
Very slowly, almost nervously, breathing a little quickly, perhaps, I slowly lowered one hand down my side, feeling the breasts, their contour; They were large and soft, and as I felt the nipple there was a reaction, a hardening, and a satisfying sensation that passed through the chest. My hand slowly continued further, along the smooth stomach, full hand sliding along smooth, skin, so much more sensitive than I was used to, then passing along wide hips, also different then what I would normally expect. I gently passed down the whole leg, thin ankles, and then up again, along the inside, stopping at the inner thigh, intensely feeling my every soft touch, a sudden tenseness in my mind and body.
I hesitantly continued, reached between the legs, passing my hand over parts that felt so different from what I was used to. It bothered me, not feeling something larger, more obvious, like I was used to. And yet, I received a most interesting sensation with each step of my exploration, as I delicately traced the genitals with a single fingertip. It was, odd, gently feeling these parts, familiar because I had touched a woman's parts before, yet never felt the touch itself, a pleasant tingling passing through me; I gave a sudden start, a gasp, as I passed over the clitoris, softly rubbing it, feeling it respond, and then lower, to the labia, feeling a slight wetness there, and then reaching deeper, and then, actually reaching inside myself, a warmth on my finger, yet a warmth spreading throughout me, pleasant, as I reached down with my other hand, continuing to rub the clitoris as I felt the inside of the vagina. Something grew, intensified, the warmth deeper and stronger, my breathing the same, short, quick gasps, a moan escaping my lips, the wetness spreading and...
...and, suddenly, I withdrew my hands, clutching them together, trembling slightly, not wanting to do this thing, the warmth fading, my breathing slowing.
***
Enough of that, I think!
Have a great week, everyone.

A nice glimpse at the progenitor of the writer we've come to love. You're right that its 'not very good', but honestly it's still good enough that were it posted on FM today as a first time writer, I'd still read it all the way through and even post a 'well done, keep it up' message to encourage you to continue writing. There was already promise being shown.
