Clumbing Keep
🕑 Added 2021-08-16 11:00:05 +0000 UTCWelcome, friends! Amond the dry, yellowing grass of the mighty plateau proudly stands the ancient Crumbling Keep.
The wind hurtles through the empty walls, decaying in the scorching sun, whispering tales of the old kings and wonders. Although the best days of the location have passed by it still stays one of the best defensive positions in the area.
The map will do a great job for sessions revolving around combat - both random encounters and even full-blown sieges. The grand rocks, towers, and of course walls provide a fantastic line of defense.
Take decent torches, gather brave and stalwart teammates, let your curiosity take over control, and embark into the Crumbling Keep.
Adventure hooks ideas:
- A vicious beast inhabits a lonely, old tower near the village of Riverbank. The monster is extremely cunning so little is known about its methods. Only one thing is certain - the creature murders with cold blood and is unbelievably cruel. Nonetheless, it might be quite profitable to hunt down the predator as it tends to steal anything made of metal from its victims.
- For all your services local princess offered you your own land and keep. What she didn't say is that the tower is utterly ruined. There are not many engineers and workforce nearby, so one of your friends suggested an idea - what if you recruited the inhabitants of many dungeons of the zone... Ogres could be great thugs and the minotaurs are splendid at spatial planning.
- Years ago there lived a noble lineage of artificers who were experimenting with odd ways - people started disappearing in the dungeons of the keep. Soon odd monstrosities, woven from weird, fleshy materials, emerged into the neighboring lands. They were not aggressive... just creepy... No one knows what are they planning, but it's more than sure that the answers can only be found in the keep.
