Chapter 13: Seele just walked into the wrong room~
🕑 Added 2025-08-31 14:09:46 +0000 UTC"Are you saying that you guys slept together last night because you stayed up too late playing the new game that Yu made?"
"Yes, yes, Sister Bronya, you have to believe Seele. How could Seele take the initiative to do something like that?"
Seele puffed up her cheeks cutely, as if she was dissatisfied with her sister Bronya's suspicion of her.
"So that's how it is."
Bronya originally wanted to ask Minamiya Yu about the specific game situation, but in the end she thought about it and gave up.
One month later, success or failure will become clear.
Since they didn't do anything physically strenuous last night, in the afternoon the three of them went out for a walk together after a long absence.
The time they spent together was quite pleasant, which made Bronya a little dazed, and she began to doubt whether it was right or wrong for them to quarrel and separate.
After returning home in the evening and washing up, Minamiya Yu was in a good mood. He walked back to the bedroom while humming a song and drying his hair.
As a result, as soon as I returned to the room, I found that the quilt I had folded was spread out flat, and there was a bulge inside due to movement.
I walked over, pinched the edge and opened it, and soon I caught a pair of sky-blue eyes that were dodging.
"Brother, brother, if Seele says that she accidentally walked into the wrong room, will you believe it?"
“…I believe it.”
As he said that, he lifted the quilt and crawled in, sitting in the place that was already warmed by Seele's body temperature.
"It's too cold outside. Don't catch a cold if you go out in just your pajamas. Just sleep here tonight."
"...Well, Seele listens to your brother."
Seele lowered her head and responded softly.
Even though it's almost summer.
On the other hand, from that day on, Bronya never saw the light in Seele's room turned on at night again.
Not taking initiative?
Bronya felt that the child was not beaten enough.
......
A month passed in a hurry, and in the blink of an eye it was the day before the opening of the Mini Game Festival.
As a mini-game festival for discovering talents in the gaming industry, the organizer Saint Freya takes it very seriously. It will not be like mini-game festivals in other regions where they just hold an online event and call it a day.
They will directly use the largest venue of St. Freya University to hold the offline exhibition. After the one-week exhibition, the games will be simultaneously put on the Titan game platform, and the top-ranked works will be recommended on the homepage banner for half a month.
You know, the Titan gaming platform is one of the three major gaming platforms in the world. A banner recommendation for half a month is enough to make those big companies that produce 3A masterpieces jealous.
Therefore, this small game festival is a carnival for independent studios or individual game designers from all over the world. The authorities do not allow those big companies to participate, and they will be severely punished once they are discovered. This is an opportunity given to those newcomers.
To participate, you must either be a small studio, or your company has been established for less than three years and is small in size. The company called Gensokyo, which was founded by Minamiya Yu and Bronya at the request of Cocolia, perfectly meets this condition.
They are small in size, having been around for less than three years, so they successfully applied for the qualification to participate in the exhibition. Considering that their old employer is Anti-Entropy, they were allocated a pretty good position.
"Hey, thank you for your hard work."
Minamiya Yu carried a bag of water and walked towards Sugisaki Ken and others who were sweating profusely after just finishing their work with a smile.
"It's just helping a brother. It's nothing."
Waving his hand, Kitahara Iori took a bottle of mineral water, drank it in one gulp, wiped the sweat from his head, and then waved his hand and said casually.
"I just didn't expect that you could make a game without making any noise, and even participate in St. Freya's Mini-Game Festival."
Grandpa Tong, who had the worst physical strength, had already sat on the chair. He held a bottle of water in his hand and spoke with some emotion.
There was inevitably a hint of envy in his tone.
As a otaku who loves playing games, he is also quite interested in game making, and he wants to work in this direction in the future. It was still his dream, but he didn't expect that it would be realized by his good friend without him noticing.
"That's right, that's right. You didn't say a word about it before. I was shocked when you first said it!"
Sugisaki Ken imitated Kitahara and gulped down a bottle of water, then simply sat on the ground. He looked at Minamiya Yu curiously and said, "By the way, what kind of game are you making? The layout of the booth looks so abstract. Is that a lighthouse and a moon?"
After all, there are hundreds of games on display, so the area of each booth is not very large and is almost full when accommodating a dozen people.
His booth was not like other booths that simply wrote the name and the game logo and placed a few mobile phones or computers for players to try out. Instead, it used some printed cardboard and hollow models to create the scene of a lighthouse on the edge of a cliff under a full moon.
"Is it a printing error? Look at the edge of the cliff, it's all pixelated. This game can't be the kind of pixelated game that existed before we were born, right?"
Kitahara pointed at the pattern on the cardboard and made a joke with a smile.
"How is that possible? After all, pixel games are too..."
When Grandpa Tong heard this, he just smiled, but unfortunately, he was interrupted by Minamiya Yu's voice before he could finish.
"Yes, it's a pixel game."
"ah?"
"Um?"
"Why?"
The three people were stunned at the same time. They immediately looked at Minamiya Yu, trying to tell from his face whether this guy was joking.
"Don't look at me, I'm serious."
Waving his hand to interrupt the three people's attention, Minamiya Yu said with a casual smile.
"Hey, hey, hey, do you know what you are talking about? That's a pixel game, a pixel game, a game that no one has made for more than ten years!"
With the current development of technology, even novice designers can find sufficient and exquisite materials in public free databases. There is no need to use pixel models that can't even see the face clearly.
"Are you confused? Huh? Why don't we not participate in the exhibition? I'm afraid you can't bear the pressure."
Kitahara was already backing off, and even Kirito had a vague look this time, as if he wanted to say something.
"Don't be nervous, don't be nervous, don't worry, I have confidence in my game."
He quickly comforted his three good brothers. Seeing that Minamiya Yu was so confident, the panic of the three of them was suppressed a little.
Then, he put his arm around Kitahara's shoulders and winked at them: "Thank you brothers for taking time off to accompany me here and helping me so much. Naturally, I will not treat you unfairly."
It would take several hours to get from their high school to St. Freya even by train, so several of them were on a "business trip" with him. They would probably be busy with the week-long mini-game festival.
As for accommodation, the organizer has booked a hotel with dozens of floors outside, so there is no need to worry about that, but when it comes to food, drink and entertainment, he will definitely not treat the brothers badly.
