Chapter 34: Play games like this?
🕑 Added 2025-08-31 14:21:38 +0000 UTCFortunately, the mushrooms that Kiana ate only had a mild hallucinogenic effect and were not very toxic.
So, after waiting for Kiana, who was on an IV drip, to wake up, Sirin was left behind to keep her company, and the others returned home with peace of mind.
A good celebration banquet was ruined by Kiana's actions. As for whether people were happy or not, it was okay, but it was a bit ridiculous.
After silently sighing that Kiana was truly an extraordinary woman, Minamiya Yu and the other two opened the door and returned home under the glow of the setting sun.
"Sister Bronya, brother, are you hungry?"
After changing into home clothes, Seele poked her little head out of the kitchen and asked her brother and sister.
"No, not very hungry."
After Minamiya Yu finished speaking, Bronya also shook her head. She had a stomach full of barbecue that she hadn't digested yet, so naturally she had no appetite.
“I see.”
Seele tapped her lips and said thoughtfully: "Well, let's make some porridge tonight."
Seeing that her brother and sister had no objection, Seele went back to the kitchen again, took out the ingredients from the refrigerator and started washing them.
"Back to the studio?"
"Hmm~"
Their eyes met, and without saying a word, they understood each other's meaning.
After Bronya moved back, the two people's studios were naturally merged together. Compared with Minamiya Yu's simple style, Bronya's things seemed a bit messy, with various documents and sketches piled up in a mess. It took a long time to sort them out before they looked a little better.
"What's your idea for the next game?"
After closing the door of the studio, Minamiya Yu returned to his workstation. While the computer was open, he asked Bronya beside him.
The two tables were next to each other and they could easily reach each other by stretching out their hands.
"Our game has only been on sale for three days, is there a need to be so anxious?"
Bronya was a little surprised. She didn't expect Minamiya Yu to be so enthusiastic about his work. Why didn't she notice it before?
"It's not that we have to do it right now, we just need to choose a general direction first. Let's not talk about other things first. At least we have to prepare the subject matter first, so that when we really start working, we won't be completely in the dark."
"really......"
Bronya nodded, leaned back in her chair, closed her eyes and began to think.
"Hatsune, help me create a new folder."
Hearing Minamiya Yu's command, the mini Hatsune Miku, who was playing with a scallion out of boredom on the screen, saluted him immediately, then took out an empty folder from her pocket, tossed it up with one hand, and then swung the scallion with both hands and slammed the folder onto the table.
At this time, Bronya tried to suggest: "How about making a Metroidvania?"
Metroidvania is a general term for a type of game that adds a freely explorable 2D sandbox map to a side-scrolling action game, as well as RPG elements such as equipment and upgrades.
In this world, the originator of this game is still Metroidvania, so Metroidvania is used as a general term for this type of game.
Looking at Minamiya Yu, Bronya continued, "My Alaharto α originally planned to adopt this game mode, but the workload could not be completed by one person, so the sandbox map and upgrade functions were castrated. Now that there are two of us, I think there should be no problem."
She has some experience in this area, so it should be easier for her to do.
"Metroidvania? I think that's fine."
After thinking for a moment, some classic games flashed through his mind. He turned his head and looked into Bronya's eyes and asked, "Do you still want to do mecha-themed work?"
I thought Bronya would be moved, but she just shook her head.
"No, I still have a long way to go before I can make the mecha game I want. It's too early to think about that now."
This surprised Minamiya Yu a little, but seeing Bronya's serious expression, she didn't seem to be lying.
"Is that so? Then let's use this as one of the alternatives. Think of a few more and we can pick a suitable one together."
Bronya nodded, thought for a moment and then spoke again: "Well...how about a sequel to To the Moon?"
"A sequel?"
Hearing this, Minamiya Yu frowned slightly: "Taking advantage of the popularity of To the Moon, it is indeed possible to release a sequel, but, I still want to try a new genre. This kind of 'reheating old food', let's wait until we have sufficient capabilities in the future."
As the sequel to To the Moon, although Impostor Factory may be a little disappointing in comparison, Finding Paradise is a work that can rival To the Moon in terms of plot. Let's make this game after we have accumulated enough technology.
Therefore, I can only say sorry to those players who are looking forward to the sequel of Going to the Moon.
Watching Minamiya Yu who was thinking and expressing his opinions at the same time, Bronya suddenly stopped talking, supported her chin with one hand, turned her head to look at him, her eyes curved, and an unconcealable smile on her lips.
Seeing that the other side was silent for a long time, Minamiya Yu looked over in confusion: "Why did you suddenly stop talking?"
"Nothing, I just feel a little regretful."
"Regret?"
Unfortunately, Bronya did not speak to answer Minamiya Yu's doubts. She just smiled softly, leaving Minamiya Yu confused.
She just felt a little regretful about why they broke up in the first place.
The feeling of being alone and being with someone is really very different. In the cold room, there is only one person facing the computer, looking at the approaching deadline and the still heavy workload. Bronya has no choice but to worry and force herself.
But now, not only do I have people with the same dreams as me to communicate and exchange ideas with, but when I'm tired from work and just turn around, I can see the person I like sitting next to me. I can get the care and attention of the person I like by just acting a little bit coquettishly. This feeling is really good, and it makes the boring process seem to have become a kind of enjoyment.
“I don’t understand.”
Muttering softly, Minamiya Yu made a list and wrote down the types of games that the two had just discussed.
"That's all for now. To be honest, I want to make some large-scale games, but unfortunately, we are too short-handed."
Shaking his head, Minamiya Yu began typing in the document of the newly created folder. For a moment, the sound of typing filled the room.
"What are you writing?"
Haven’t we already prepared several proposals?
Bronya leaned over curiously and looked at the words that appeared quickly on the screen. Gradually, her brows furrowed, and even her gaze towards Minamiya Yu seemed a little strange.
In order to see more clearly, Bronya simply stood up and came behind Minamiya Yu.
She bent down and lay on Minamiya Yu's back, her chin resting on his shoulder, staring intently at the screen.
The soft squeeze and the sweet scent at the tip of his nose made Minamiya Yu distracted for a moment, and even his typing speed slowed down by half a beat.
Under normal circumstances, Bronya would probably tease and provoke, but now, she has completely lost the interest to do so, and her voice is even a little dry.
“Is this how you made games?”
Hearing this, Minamiya Yu stopped and replied in confusion: "Hmm? Is there something wrong?"
"This is a huge problem! How can you write the plan right after deciding on the game theme?!"
And it looks so well organized, obviously not the product of random fooling around.
“Is it difficult?”
This understatement made Bronya furious. Recalling the mental torture she had endured when planning the game content, she glared at Minamiya Yu fiercely and said irritably, "What else? Do you think this is easy?!"
For Minamiya Yu, who had the entire game process in his mind, this was not difficult, but he naturally couldn't say that anymore, so he looked at Bronya and said tentatively: "Well... If I say that these are all my dreams, do you believe it?"
