Chapter 42: What did you say her name was?
🕑 Added 2025-08-31 14:25:02 +0000 UTC“Is this true?”
How could she be prettier than Seele and Bronya? Why didn't he believe it?
He picked up the teapot and refilled Cocolia's glass of water, then poured himself a cup. After talking for so long, he felt a little thirsty.
"It's hard to explain intuitively, so I'll let you see for yourself."
As she spoke, Cocolia opened her purse that was placed on the sofa and took out a photo from the middle compartment.
"promise."
Cocolia handed it over and Minamiya Yu reached out to take it.
Minamiya Yu first drank a sip of water to moisten his throat, and then he looked at the photo in his hand.
In the background of the Japanese-style room, a girl wearing an elaborate twelve-piece kimono kneels quietly on the tatami.
Her long, smooth black hair fell like a waterfall, and under her Jibo hairstyle, her extremely delicate face had a decent smile.
Minamiya Yu was surprised at first sight. The girl in the photo seemed to embody all the Eastern impressions of beauty. For a moment, he didn't even know what adjective to use. To put it roughly, this face was enough to be the dream lover of most Asians.
Moreover, looking at this photo, he was inexplicably reminded of a character from Gensokyo that he liked very much in his previous life.
Although ZUN's painting is relatively abstract, the general image has been established through many secondary settings. The girl in the photo is quite similar to her.
But this is just a random thought. This kind of dress is a tradition in the Far East, and there are too many young ladies who dress like this.
"What's her name?"
Looking at the photo, Minamiya Yu asked casually without looking up.
"Name? I think her name is Kaguya Horaisan. She's the daughter of the chairman of Lunarian Group."
"puff!!!!"
Minamiya Yu, who had just taken a sip of water, couldn't help but spit it out. He looked up in astonishment and asked in disbelief, "What did you say her name was?"
"Hōraizan Kaguya? Why, do you know her?"
Know her? More than that, he knew him. She was his favorite character in Touhou in his previous life.
If this world didn't have the characters in Honkai Impact 3rd, and the male and female protagonists in those daily anime, Minamiya Yu would also have regarded this as a coincidence.
But now, he had to think that this was the role he knew.
Lunarian Group, the chairman’s daughter, it’s all right, it’s all right.
"Do you have any information about her?"
"There is an electronic version. I'll have someone send it to your email address later. Are you interested?"
“A little bit.”
If a Gensokyo really appeared in this world, he would be really troubled. Moreover, even the Honkai energy has disappeared, so there can't be any other supernatural powers.
Sighing, he silently put the photo in his pocket.
We'll see what happens when the time comes. It's no use thinking about it now.
"I've set a meeting time for you the night after tomorrow. The address is not far from here. I'll send it to you later."
"Um."
Noticing Minamiya Yu's absent-minded look, Cocolia couldn't help but frown: "Are you really mesmerized by a photo?"
"That's not the case."
Shaking his head, Minamiya Yu said with certainty.
"That's good. You can just play with people like this. Your true feelings should be placed on Seele and Bronya. If I find out that you bullied them in the future, you understand the consequences, right?"
Feeling the sudden rise of Cocolia's momentum, Minamiya Yu, who was a little dazed, shuddered, and immediately became alert, nodding like a chicken pecking at rice.
"Hmph~ That's good."
The atmosphere returned to its previous relaxed state. Minamiya Yu stopped thinking about Kaguya and started chatting with Cocolia about daily trivialities. She seemed to really like listening to Minamiya Yu talking about those trivial matters. Her eyes were shining and she listened very seriously.
After a while, the two smelled the rich aroma of rice. At this time, Seele and Bronya came out with the freshly prepared lunch.
"It's been a while since I last tasted my daughters' cooking. I guess I'll have a treat today~"
Sitting at the dining table, looking at the exquisite dishes, Cocolia said with some anticipation.
"Seele's craftsmanship has improved a lot. Now I feel like I can't live without Seele."
Minamiya Yu's teasing caused Seele to grumble. She rolled her eyes at him cutely, then looked at Cocolia and said in a coquettish whisper: "Cocolia mother, don't listen to your brother's nonsense. Seele is not that powerful."
"I think Yu is right. Without Seele, we would probably just starve."
Bronya also added with a smile, making Seele even more shy.
"Even Bronya-sister, you...really, you're praising her too much."
The two men seemed to have forgotten what had just happened and did not mention anything about the fiancée.
But the more this happened, the more nervous Minamiya Yu felt. It was like a whirlpool hidden beneath the calm sea, which could suck his small boat in at any time.
As for treating it as the default?
No, no, no, how is this possible? It's impossible for anyone to not care when seeing that the person they like has a fiancée.
If he thinks that it will be alright if he doesn't say anything, and then acts recklessly, he will probably be attacked like a storm. What if he angers Seele and Bronya, and they tie him up and lock him up in a basement in Siberia? Then, he will be helpless.
"By the way, Yu, I played the game you made last time. It was pretty good."
"Real?"
During the casual chat at dinner, Cocolia suddenly spoke as if she remembered something.
"Why would I lie to you? I just didn't expect you to be able to write such a plot. I thought you could only write those crude copywritings in those erotic games."
"???????"
Noticing Cocolia's teasing gaze and Bronya's uncontrollable laughter, Minamiya Yu began to tap her toes in embarrassment.
What should I do if my mother finds out that I'm making butter? Waiting online, it's urgent.
Even Seele lowered her head with a red face. This girl, don’t think he can’t see that she is laughing secretly!
"What kind of pornographic games are you talking about? I never do those."
Minamiya Yu had no intention of admitting it.
"Okay, I won't tease you anymore. Actually, after playing your game, I contacted the Anti-Entropy Space Agency and had a brief chat with them. They are willing to invest in setting up a charity fund to help people with autism worldwide. When they promote it, they will include you and your game."
"Is there such a good thing?"
"What's the big deal? For those capitalists who are full of maggots, they are very happy to do this kind of charity that only costs a little money to improve their reputation. Don't underestimate the popularity of your game."
The sneers were filled with disdain for those people.
Although Minamiya Yu really wanted to complain about Cocolia, "Aren't you also a capitalist?", his desire to survive made him swallow the words and instead spoke.
“It doesn’t matter what the purpose is, as long as it can really help people.”
Understanding Minamiya Yu's hint, Cocolia smiled and said, "I will arrange it myself. They dare not do anything tricky."
“Domineering!”
He gave Cocolia a thumbs up, and then Minamiya Yu said without hesitation: "In that case, I will donate half of the profits from "To the Moon"."
