Chapter 45: Changes in Mentality
🕑 Added 2025-08-31 14:26:16 +0000 UTCThe night was growing deeper and deeper, and the bright moonlight shone through the screen window, illuminating Kaguya's trembling expression.
The calm smile she always maintained, at this moment, finally became a little dull.
"I'm sorry, I didn't hear you clearly just now. What's the name of your game, sir?"
"To the Moon."
Minamiya Yu repeated the sentence again.
The bastard who made her lose all her efforts is really you!!
Kaguya only felt a surge of blood rushing up, and her eyes seemed a little dark.
The person who made her lose the chance of freedom ended up becoming her husband by accident. This dramatic result made Kaguya not know whether to be angry or cry.
The raised palm ignored the steaming teacup on the table.
With a clang.
"ah!"
The teacup in front of Kaguya was knocked over, and the light blue tea spilled all over the table. Some of it also splashed onto Kaguya's hand, making her frown in pain.
"Are you okay?"
The tea in the cup was still a little hot, so Minamiya Yu immediately came over to Kaguya and grabbed her wrist.
The originally fair back of her hand was now completely red. Without saying too much, Minamiya Yu directly pulled her up from her position.
"Where is the cool water?"
Feeling the attitude that could not be refused, Kaguya opened her mouth and then silently pointed in a direction.
Then, Minamiya Yu pulled her wrist and quickly led her to the bathroom.
Although it was a traditional Japanese-style room, the layout of the bathroom was quite modern. Minamiya Yu didn't pay much attention to the contrast. He simply put Kaguya's red back of the hand in the sink and turned the cold water to the maximum.
After being washed by the cold tap water, Kaguya's frown finally relaxed a little.
The bathroom was not very big, and the two bodies were almost pressed together in the small space.
The masculine scent that hit her made Kaguya feel quite uncomfortable. For the first time, her voice was shy: "Thank you..."
"Why are you so careless?"
Because the sense of déjà vu was too strong, Minamiya Yu subconsciously used the tone he used to teach the children in the orphanage.
Every time they did something that hurt themselves, Minamiya Yu would say this while helping them clean up the mess.
Kaguya felt a little embarrassed when she heard this. What should she say? Was it because she was so mad at you?
"I am just......"
Originally, Kaguya wanted to find an excuse to deal with it, but when she raised her head and saw the undisguised concern in Minamiya Yu's stern expression, she subconsciously stopped what she wanted to say and just looked into his eyes, silent.
At this time, Minamiya Yu also realized that Kaguya was not one of those little kids in the orphanage, but his fiancée who was two years older than him.
He swallowed the words of blame that he was about to say, especially the ambiguous gaze that was staring at him, which made him feel a little uncomfortable.
"Well, what I mean is that you must pay attention and take care of your body."
The concerned gaze that quickly dodged made Kaguya feel a little pity in her heart, and then she nodded obediently, showing a hint of weakness in front of Minamiya Yu for the first time: "Well, I know."
The air became quiet again. In the silent night, the sound of running water covered up the intermittent chirping of insects. In the small bathroom, Minamiya Yu could clearly smell the intoxicating fragrance emanating from Kaguya.
Kaguya seemed to have realized something as well. She lowered her head, and quietly pressed her body against Minamiya Yu's. She stood on the inside away from the door. Her breathing became a little rapid, and she looked like she would not resist no matter what Minamiya Yu did.
But Minamiya Yu naturally couldn't do anything to Kaguya in this state. He opened the bathroom door completely and let the cool night breeze blow away the beauty in the room.
"Is there a medical kit in the bedroom?"
"Yeah, it's in the cupboard near the door."
"Okay, I'll get it. You stay here for a while. Remember not to move."
Walking out of the bathroom, the cool air suppressed the restlessness of adolescence, and Minamiya Yu immediately felt much better.
Following Kaguya's instructions, he quickly found the medicine box in the drawer, took out the burn ointment and gauze, and then returned to the bathroom.
Kaguya stood there obediently, still washing herself with cold water.
After letting her wait for about twenty minutes, Minamiya Yu turned off the faucet, then gently wiped the water stains on her hands with a towel and pulled her to sit on the edge of the corridor.
"It might hurt a little."
Minamiya Yu squeezed some burn ointment onto his fingertips and said with some comfort.
"Yeah, it's okay."
With Kaguya's consent, Minamiya Yu carefully applied the solution on her wound.
The moonlight sprinkled down, and in Kaguya's eyes, he was covered with a layer of white silver gauze. He held his hands as if he was applying the paint very seriously, and he didn't even seem to know that she was secretly observing him.
Time slowly flowed in this quiet and gentle interaction. After applying the ointment and bandaging it with gauze, Minamiya Yu breathed a sigh of relief and said with a smile: "It's fine now. Remember not to get it wet and eat less spicy food recently. The burn this time is not serious and will not leave scars on your hands."
"It's getting late."
Looking at the bright moon hanging high in the sky, Minamiya Yu supported Ruyuan and stood up.
"Then I will..."
"I should go back now."
Kaguya paused and looked up at him in confusion.
"go back?"
"Yes, go home, there are people waiting for me at home."
With a smile on his face, Minamiya Yu stretched, then turned his back to Kaguya and waved: "See you next time, my lovely fiancée~"
"etc!"
Some hurried voices were approaching quickly from behind him, and Minamiya Yu turned around following the voice.
"How... um..."
It was like starlight passing by, dotted on his lips, and the soft feeling of separation at the touch made Minamiya Yu stare at the scene in a daze.
"In that case, why not give me a nice goodbye kiss? My handsome fiancé~"
Their bright eyes met each other and Kaguya blinked at him cutely.
Then she put her hands behind her back, jumped lightly and took two steps back, and gave him the sweetest smile of the night. This was the first time she looked like a naughty girl, and her cute expression made his heart beat faster.
It was not until he got into Reisen's car that he was awakened by the incessant sound of whistles on the street.
But when I close my eyes, that sweet smile still emerges.
He may never forget this scene.
On the other side, after watching Minamiya Yu's figure disappear, Kaguya raised her hand and gently stroked her lips. As she thought about it, she couldn't help but smile.
How adorable, my husband's reaction.
In one night, the mindset of a princess who had already accepted her fate quietly changed.
But...
Recalling the gentle smile that rose on the corners of her husband's mouth when he mentioned going home, Kaguya's originally raised lips slowly calmed down.
Family?
This is really enviable...
