Chapter 47 Hug
🕑 Added 2025-08-31 14:27:03 +0000 UTC“The hit feedback is so hard to adjust.”
After the meeting with my fiancée, life at home gradually returned to normal.
In the studio, Bronya, who had been tortured by the same thing for three or four days, lay weakly on the table, while beside her, Minamiya Yu was still concentrating on adjusting the movements of the little man on the screen.
After deciding to make a Metroidvania-like game, "Hollow Knight" became Minamiya Yu's first choice. An inspiration born from a small game production competition, it became a classic stand-alone game in its previous life.
Until Minamiya Yu traveled through time, there were still a lot of people on the Internet asking when they could play Silk Song~
There are rumors every year, and the rumors are cancelled every year!
In fact, "Touhou Luna Night" is also good, but considering that there is no such IP as Touhou in the world, it was PASSED by Minamiya Yu. By the CM exhibition in winter this year, we can find a way to produce "Crimson Demon Village" first.
However, let’s not talk about what’s happening at the end of the year for now, and let’s return our focus to the games they are currently making.
As an action game, its sense of impact is naturally the top priority.
Before doing visual effects and auditory feedback, the first step is to get the action structure right, which is the most basic level.
Minamiya Yu is responsible for designing the various attack actions of the little knight, while Bronya is responsible for the feedback of monsters of different sizes after being hit.
A good sense of impact cannot be achieved out of thin air. It requires designers to make fine adjustments bit by bit. It is a rather boring and tedious process. Bronya has been tortured for several days in a row. Now she feels like vomiting when she sees the monster model.
"Aren't you tired?"
From the afternoon till now, except for dinner time, Minamiya Yu has basically maintained the same appearance. In Bronya's eyes, the movements of the little man are becoming more and more smooth and beautiful in his hands.
Minamiya Yu did not answer, but adjusted the ending stage of a complete movement, played it again several times to confirm that it was correct, then raised his hands and stretched, letting out a comfortable low moan in his throat.
“I’m tired.”
Twisting his neck, making a crisp crackling sound, Minamiya Yu looked at the ceiling and said with a smile.
"That......"
Just as Bronya was about to ask, she heard Minamiya Yu continue, "But don't you feel a sense of accomplishment watching the game get better little by little?"
Bronya understood what he meant, but she also needed to see improvements and get positive feedback. She had been adjusting it for three or four days, but it still looked awkward no matter how she looked at it. It was completely inferior to the smooth movements that Minamiya Yu had already mastered.
"Really? That's great."
Bronya sighed again and rubbed her head on her arm, her eyes full of fatigue.
"Since you are tired, take a rest."
"Um."
The lazy nasal sound attracted Minamiya Yu's attention, and he relaxed his body and looked at Bronya.
Her long silver curly hair was somewhat messy and casually spread out, and she wore a white short top on her upper body. She was lying there, revealing a slender, tight, and fair waist in her lower abdomen.
The full chest formed two arcs that were hard to ignore due to gravity. The tired expression wore away the strength he showed in the past. Looking at Minamiya Yu's absent-minded eyes, he revealed a hint of confusion.
At this moment, Bronya looked so weak that Minamiya Yu turned around and opened his arms to her.
"Um?"
Although he was puzzled by Minamiya Yu's actions, he stood up first and threw himself into that warm embrace.
"I think you need a hug now, don't you?"
The gentle voice sounded in her ears, like a clear spring flowing into her restless heart.
Closing her eyes comfortably and tightening her arms, Bronya rubbed his neck fondly, sniffing the warm breath with her nose, which was as comfortable as the warm sun in winter, allowing her to suppress the unpleasantness in game production.
Having let go of the charming feeling in his heart, Minamiya Yu hugged the soft and delicate body, raised his hand and gently touched her long hair, and tidied up the strands that were running wildly.
"Don't worry, there's still plenty of time. I've seen your progress, and you've done well enough."
The praise from her admirer soothed the last trace of impatience in Bronya's heart. Her tone seemed to be melted by Minamiya Yu, with a hint of grievance: "But I can't keep up with your progress..."
Of course I can’t keep up, because he is cheating.
After silently complaining in his heart, Minamiya Yu could only continue to comfort him: "The first time is always not so smooth sailing, instead of worrying about this, you might as well think about the trip to Europe tomorrow and think about something happy."
Without asking why Minamiya Yu was so skilled the first time, Bronya closed her eyes, hummed softly, and then lay on his chest with peace of mind. Her breathing gradually became even, as if she had fallen asleep.
Nearly half an hour passed like this, and when Minamiya Yu's whole body became a little stiff due to the pressure, Bronya finally opened her eyes again.
She seemed to be fully charged. After jumping off Minamiya Yu, she stretched hard, then hugged Minamiya Yu's neck from behind. The fatigue on her face was gone, and her voice was full of energy.
"I want to play games, play with me~"
Minamiya Yu's head was pushed up, and he nodded without hesitation: "Okay, what are we going to play?"
Hearing this, Bronya raised her lips and said expectantly, "Of course, let's have a thrilling Homunculus battle!"
As she said that, she let go of Minamiya Yu and knelt in front of the small cabinet where her things were kept. Then she stuck out her round buttocks wrapped in jeans and started rummaging in the cabinet.
Soon, she took out an old-fashioned game console that looked quite old.
"You still have this thing."
Standing behind her, Minamiya Yu looked at what Bronya took out with surprise.
"Of course, this is something very important to me."
After wiping off a little dust on it, Bronya connected the old square plastic shell game console to the monitor, and then took out a yellow cartridge from a beautifully packaged box. On the cartridge was printed a picture of Homu's silly smiley face.
"How about it, do you dare to come?"
After connecting the handle, Bronya sat directly on the ground, handed him another handle, and raised her eyebrows provocatively.
"Tsk, how could I not dare."
As he spoke, Minamiya Yu picked up the handle and sat next to Bronya.
"It's boring to play straight away, how about we make a bet?"
"Tell me about it."
"It's simple. If you lose, I'll kiss you."
Instantly, Minamiya Yu's heartbeat quickened, and he quickly asked, "What if I win?"
Hearing this, Bronya smiled at him: "Stupid, of course you kiss me~"
Squeak, squeak.
The hinges of the iron door made sporadic noises, indicating that this isolated orphanage was once again connected to the silvery world outside.
Unfortunately, the hinges soon made a sad sound again, and the door closed tightly, politely rejecting the warm affection of the cold wind.
"Dean Cocolia, you're back!"
The old doorman walked out of the small, warm room, holding a cup of freshly boiled hot water in his hand. However, when he saw the dean holding the hand of a little figure he had never seen before, he paused, thought for a moment, and went back to bring out a cup.
"Thank you. Thank you for your hard work. You should go and have a rest."
Although she was honored as the dean, Cocolia looked like a beautiful girl in her twenties. Her long golden curly hair was tied into a ponytail, and her thick winter coat concealed her beautiful body. On her pretty face, her bright purple eyes showed the competence unique to young people.
She released the little girl's hand, reached out to take the two cups of hot water, and smiled gently at the doorman whom she had known for a long time.
The doorman waved his hand indifferently, glanced at the silent little girl beside him, and returned to his little room alone without saying a word.
After a while, the noise at the door naturally attracted the aunt who was in charge of the orphanage. After seeing the person coming, Cocolia smiled and waved to her, and with a simple greeting, she asked her to gather all the children to the yard.
Soon, the yard, which was originally deserted due to the cold, became noisy.
Looking at these lively and cute little kids, as well as some cute little ones surrounding her legs and calling her "Cocolia Mommy", a warm smile from the bottom of her heart appeared on her lips.
After rubbing the heads of a few close little ones, Cocolia pushed out the little girl who had been standing behind her.
"Everyone, please be quiet for a moment. Let me introduce the new family members of our orphanage."
She clapped her hands to attract the little ones' attention, and then she turned her gaze to the group of curious little ones.
"New friend!"
"Who is it~"
"Silver hair is so beautiful..."
After saying the name of the girl with silver twin pigtails next to her, Cocolia gently pushed her forward and asked her to try to blend in with the children.
Then, she turned her eyes around, but surprisingly did not find the figure she was looking forward to among the little bean.
Suppressing her doubts, she gave a few instructions to a few aunties, and after confirming that there were no major problems, she led the person in charge towards the office.
"Where's the kid?"
As soon as she entered the door, Cocolia asked with a frown.
As if he already knew what Cocolia was going to ask, the supervisor shook his head and said helplessly, "He is sick and is lying on the bed in the bedroom."
"Get ill?!"
The frown disappeared and Cocolia asked back in a panic.
"It's just a cold from the cold, Dean, don't worry too much."
"I have a cold."
Hearing this, Cocolia breathed a sigh of relief, but soon asked in confusion: "Although the orphanage is not rich, it should not be so cold that the children will suffer. How did the child catch a cold?"
“This one~”
The supervisor suddenly laughed, and his voice changed into a different tone: "That kid is really amazing~"
Cocolia: “?”
The warm fire was burning, reflecting Cocolia's somewhat puzzled expression.
......
"You mean that bastard didn't sleep in the middle of the night and took Seele out with a quilt to watch the stars?!"
Is he sick?!
Cocolia was trying hard to suppress the urge to curse, her face full of black lines.
"Yeah, tsk tsk tsk, at such a young age, he knows how to do this. When he grows up, he will be amazing~"
"I think it's just because he doesn't have enough homework and training, so he has nothing to do!"
"Can't we just be born romantic? At least, we don't have to worry about this child's marriage in the future, right?"
"......"
Rubbing her head, Cocolia gave up arguing with the aunt supervisor. She knew how much this girl doted on those children, otherwise, she would not trust her to take care of the children.
"Forget it, let me tell you about the current financial situation of the orphanage."
Seeing that he was talking about business, the supervisor's expression straightened and he became serious: "To be honest, it's not ideal..."
Then, she told Cocolia in detail about the various expenses of the little ones recently, as well as the salaries of the orphanage staff and various miscellaneous expenses. Finally, she had a trace of worry on her face, sighed and said, "If this continues, by the beginning of next spring, our funds will not be able to support us, and you, the director, keep bringing children back."
"Don't worry, as long as we hold on for a while, we won't have to worry about this anymore."
"Um?"
Cocolia's confident voice interrupted her thoughts, causing the supervisor to look at her in surprise.
There was confidence in the young man's purple eyes, and a faint aura of a superior emerged.
"You mean?" The supervisor had a guess and his heart beat faster involuntarily.
"It's just what you think."
The calm words made the supervisor's face show ecstasy, and she kept saying, "Great, great, now I don't have to worry about the children."
"Okay, things are almost done. I'm going to go check on that bastard Yu. Really, he's so old but he still makes me worry."
"Yes, yes, I know you are closest to that child, go quickly~"
Not caring about what her supervisor said, she waved her hand and walked out the door.
She is not a saint, so naturally she has some preferences in her heart. Just don't let other children hear it.
"That's right."
Just as Cocolia was about to go out, the supervisor suddenly called her.
"What's wrong?"
Seeing Cocolia's puzzled expression, the supervisor smiled and said, "There may be surprises in the upcoming scene, so be prepared."
"surprise?"
Seeing that the supervisor didn't want to say it clearly, Cocolia didn't care. She opened the door and walked out.
After walking through the long corridor, she soon arrived at a door with cute graffiti painted on it.
After thinking about it, she didn't knock on the door, but gently turned the door open and walked in.
Since the child is sick, it would be better not to disturb his rest.
Although she said that before, when it comes to that child, she is definitely the one with the softest heart.
The room was quite quiet, with only the crackling of the wood in the fire, bringing a numbing warmth and sound.
Her sight naturally shifted to the bed, and when she saw the little figure sleeping on her side, Cocolia could no longer conceal the tenderness on her lips.
She tiptoed to the bedside, removing her sharp edge towards outsiders and leaving only endless tenderness for the sleeping child.
Her short black hair was still neat, and her cute little face no longer had the mischievous look it once had even after falling asleep, which made Cocolia unable to help but stretch out her green fingers to touch her still chubby cheek.
His face was rosy and he slept peacefully. It seemed that his cold had gotten better.
Noticing that he shook his little head in his sleep, Cocolia couldn't help but chuckle.
Suddenly, her smile stopped and she felt something was wrong.
Why is this quilt so bulging? Is this child so fat?
still......
Thinking of this, Cocolia gently lifted a corner of the quilt, and soon, the scene inside made her breath stop.
I saw that the little boy was holding a little girl with short black and blue hair tightly in his arms. The girl looked petite and cute, with red eyes as if she had been crying. She fell asleep in the little boy's arms with peace of mind and affection.
But if it were just that, behind the little boy, there were two equally cute little heads, one pink and one blue, resting on his back, one above and one below, and they looked very close.
Cocolia's face darkened visibly.
Suddenly, she remembered the surprise her supervisor had reminded her of before she left.
"hehe......"
A faint sneer sounded in the air, and Cocolia looked at the boy with a sharper gaze.
It’s better not to have such a surprise!
Soon, she raised her hand to the boy.
......
"Brother, does it still hurt here?"
Seele, the cute little girl with short black and blue hair in the boy's arms just now, was now lying on the edge of the bed, looking at the boy lying on the bed with a sad face.
The two behind were Rosalia and Lilia. They had already quickly run away when they saw the situation was not good.
The soft and sticky sound made the boy who wanted to cry out in pain immediately shut his mouth, his face red, he clenched his teeth, and looked indignant.
I was sleeping soundly just now, but suddenly I was beaten. Who can bear this?
"That old woman, I will definitely take revenge on her when I grow up!"
Hearing this, Seele's face suddenly became flustered. She quickly grabbed her brother's arm and said timidly again: "Don't say that to Cocolia's mother, she will be angry..."
If he gets angry, his brother will be beaten again.
"I'm afraid of her?!"
Teenagers are the most fearless and have no understanding of the huge gap between adults and children. The little boy named Yu wanted to get up and throw a set of turtle punches, but his butt hurt so much that he had to give up.
Noticing that her brother was gasping in pain, Seele moved closer again and stretched out her little hand to grab his butt: "Brother, let Seele rub it for you. Seele has heard the aunts often say that rubbing the painful area will make it feel much better."
"no!"
Seeing Seele's little paw reaching out, Yu quickly shrank back inside.
Being avoided again, Seele suddenly felt wronged and tears welled up in her eyes: "Brother, don't you like Seele anymore?"
Seeing that Seele was about to cry, Yu suddenly panicked.
Of course he didn't hate Seele. The one who had the best relationship with him in the whole orphanage was Seele, who followed him every day and called him brother sweetly. There was a reason why he didn't let him touch her.
He is already eight years old and a man. How can a real man let others touch his butt?
"Seele, there's a reason why I don't let you touch me!"
"reason?"
Seele opened her big watery eyes and looked at him aggrievedly, waiting for an explanation.
"The reason, the reason is..."
He was too embarrassed to say out loud what he was thinking, but soon an idea flashed through his mind, and he suddenly recalled a line from a comic book he had just dreamed of. His expression immediately became serious: "Seele!"
"Why?!"
Seeing her brother's appearance, Seele subconsciously held her breath.
He took a deep breath and said seriously: "The scars on your back are a man's shame!"
"......?"
A series of question marks hit Seele's head, making her eyes full of confusion. After a long time, she stumbled and responded: "So, brother doesn't hate Seele, it's just because of that, the scars before and after..."
"The scars behind you!"
Yu couldn't help but correct her.
"Well, then, from now on Seele will stand behind brother and protect him from behind!"
"Um!"
Seeing Seele's attention shifted away, Yu quietly breathed a sigh of relief.
......
In a blink of an eye, two days passed, Yu's cold was completely gone, his buttocks didn't hurt anymore, and his mind suddenly became active again.
"Seele, I heard there's a new person here recently?"
In the restaurant at noon, Yu scooped up rice and talked to Seele while eating.
"Um."
Seele nodded slightly, swallowed the soup in her mouth, and then carefully pointed her finger in a direction.
Over there, a silver-haired girl with twin ponytails was sitting quietly in the corner. She looked very cute, but her face had an expression that said "no strangers allowed" so there was no one around to eat with her.
"Come on, Seele, let's go get to know him."
As he spoke, he picked up his half-eaten plate and walked over first.
Seeing this, Seele hurriedly picked up her own portion and followed her brother like a little follower.
despair.
Yu put the plate on the table, looked at the little girl who didn't react at all, and said cheerfully: "Hello, I'm Minamiya Yu, this is Seele Fuleai, can we be friends?"
Unexpectedly, the girl still didn't react at all. She finished her own portion, then picked up the empty plate and left.
Naturally, Yu's behavior was laughed at by many of his friends. He blushed and retorted a few times, then ignored them, quickly finished his meal, and pulled Seele away.
"Brother, Seele didn't know she would be like this..."
"Don't worry, it's not Seele's fault."
After comforting the girl who felt a little apologetic, Yu started to think.
The more someone ignored him, the more he wanted to get to know him, and soon, an idea that seemed brilliant to him came up.
"Seele!"
"Um?"
"I have a plan!"
......
Late at night, a slight creaking sound of a door opening was suddenly heard in the quiet orphanage.
Soon, Yu poked his head out, looked around to see that there was no one around, then walked out of the room with confidence. Then, he waved towards the open door.
After a few seconds, the timid Seele also took it out.
Minamiya Yu led the way, with Seele following behind him. Seeing how skilled they were, it was obvious that they were repeat offenders. No one knew how Seele, such an obedient and good child, was turned into this way by her good brother step by step.
They groped their way along and soon came to a house that had just been occupied.
"Seele."
He whispered, and Seele nodded, handing him the small package in her arms.
When the small package was opened, there were many strange little tools inside. He didn't seem to fiddle with them at all, but with a click, the lock of the window was opened.
In the room, the girl who was sleeping lightly opened her eyes instantly.
She did not move, but glanced at the slowly opening window with the corner of her eye. Her hand in the quilt had quietly clenched the dagger that she had deliberately hidden on her body.
Are there enemies?
However, when the girl noticed the person coming through the light outside, she was stunned for a moment, thought about it, and then closed her eyes again.
Tap, boom!
"Woo~"
The little girl following the boy seemed to have fallen, but she tried hard not to sob.
What do they want to do?
The girl was puzzled. She did not take the initiative to attack, but just concentrated and held the dagger tightly.
If there is hostility, she will fight back without hesitation.
Da da da.
The footsteps were approaching the bed, and the girl's body was gradually tensing up.
What surprised her was that when she was a little closer to the bed, the footsteps suddenly stopped and a not-so-loud voice called out, "Hey, wake up, wake up quickly."
She opened her eyes at the right time and looked at him without any fluctuation.
"Wake up, do you want to do something happy together?"
"?"
The girl was puzzled.
"Seele, are you done?"
The boy glanced back and urged.
"Done, done."
As soon as he finished speaking, a faint light suddenly lit up in the room, and there was a hissing sound as if an electric current was connected.
"No time to explain, come on!"
Under the girl's shocked gaze, the boy pulled her up. She wanted to break free, but was surprised to find that she couldn't.
The cold light in his hand had not yet appeared before it was easily snatched away and thrown aside.
She was really shocked.
"What's so fun about this thing? Come here, I'll teach you something more fun."
Looking at the sharp dagger with disdain, Yu pushed the girl to the ground, and he sat beside her.
"No, take this."
Looking at the white square object handed to her, which had many strange little buttons on it, the girl spoke for the first time: "What is this?"
"So you can talk."
Glancing at the girl, Yu patiently explained: "This thing is called a handle, it's a great thing~"
"I'll teach you the specific operation right away, Seele, insert cassette number one."
"OK!"
Like a little soldier following orders, Seele followed her brother's orders, took out a yellow box, and inserted it into the small box in front of the TV in front of them.
Soon, a blurry pixelated image appeared on the small screen, along with a clear and crisp sound that made the girl's heart beat.
