Chapter 457: The Gate to a New World
🕑 Added 2025-09-05 14:27:07 +0000 UTCNanaya's indifference to the Oscars puzzled the young assistant named Barry. In her opinion, the Oscars should be the pursuit of all directors.
However, as an excellent assistant, personal emotions mean nothing to her. She only needs to serve her clients well.
So our Miss Barry just followed Nanaya closely with a faint smile on her face.
As for Nanaya, he greeted the actors and several behind-the-scenes staff one by one.
Then he stood with these people again and completed the routine photo.
If it were in the past, Nanaya would definitely turn around and walk into the cinema after taking the photos.
But that’s not possible today, as his multiple duties forced him to continue standing at the door and carrying out various public relations activities.
In between shaking hands and chatting with the guests, Nanaya glanced at the actor area with the corner of his eyes, observing the situation of the leading actors, led by Lily.
The most popular of all is undoubtedly Lily.
This girl, who has been called the new-age "English Rose" by the media, has a smile on her face as happy as the citizens of London seeing the sun come out today.
As for the British gay trio - Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston and James McAvoy.
They gathered together and enjoyed the star treatment.
Johnson did the same thing, and the smile on his face was even brighter than the California sunshine.
Nanaya roughly understood the thoughts of these actors. After working hard for so many years, they finally became famous. It would be unreasonable not to enjoy it.
Take the gay trio for example. They all graduated from serious performing arts schools and have spent most of their lives just learning acting.
For them, being in the spotlight is the real meaning of their lives.
It was not until the premiere red carpet ceremony was almost over that Nanaya and Lily and others walked into the cinema.
Because of various promotional activities including interviews, photo-taking and other activities, by the time he walked into the screening room, most of the audience and guests attending the premiere had already entered, and they were all eagerly waiting for the screening to begin.
Shiki and Ori came over immediately after seeing Nanaya.
The topic of the three people's conversation is naturally inseparable from the movie that will be released soon. The movie FZ is not just the work of Nanaya alone.
To be honest, it's more like a child shared by three people.
Hmm... it seems a bit...
"Washimine has secured the maximum possible number of theaters for the film's opening, more than 4,000 theaters in North America."
Shiki Matsuno said excitedly that this was the first time he saw his work had such a large number of prints. He felt a little excited just thinking about it.
"It's 4,039 theaters and 6,235 screens." Nanaya corrected. He always remembered the number of screens his movies opened on very clearly.
"You picked a really good time slot. We don't have any strong competitors during the same period." Shiki continued, "Nana, the market you opened up with your first two Fate movies is really great. Plus, everyone is in the standard summer schedule, and the ones we're going to face next are all small productions with production costs of tens of millions of dollars at most. There's no way they're going to have any impact on FZ."
Nanaya tilted his head and asked, "When did you start caring about the box office?"
"There's nothing I can do. I'd like to not care, but if FZ's performance is too bad, my reputation in the international market will also be damaged," Shiki replied with a roll of his eyes.
"Don't worry about that." Ori seemed to be in a very good mood. "300 Spartans has passed its peak box office success. This movie no longer poses any threat. We will have the market to ourselves before May."
Nanaya nodded, saying that the off-season also has its advantages.
The absence of competitors makes their films the only choice for most audiences.
Because of the same situation in his previous life, he had to watch "Thor 2: The Dark World" four times, which he considered to be the most mediocre work in the MCU.
The reason is that I went out with different friends during that period, and every time I chose a movie, there was really no other choice except this one.
By the same token, Sony's "Venom" also dominated the autumn off-season market, allowing this not-so-excellent work to earn a lot of US dollars.
The same situation is happening to FZ now. There are no wolves in front and no tigers behind, and the schedule couldn’t be better.
What's more, Nanaya felt that the quality of his movie was much better than "Thor 2" and "Venom", and he really couldn't think of any reason for the film to fail.
If it still fails after all this, it will only prove that Nanaya's level is just so-so.
"That's right. If the results are good, we can even try to expand the screening to the following week."
Shion joined the conversation at some point and took Nanaya's arm.
"This is not the highly competitive summer season. If we give in a little, maybe we can create miracles for the movie. I want to borrow this guy. Do you two mind?"
"Certainly."
"Haha, please come in, big sister."
Ori and Shiki Matsuno shook their heads and left tactfully.
"What a ungrateful fellow."
Nanaya snorted coldly.
Shion's eyes flashed dangerously, "Why? Is it unfair for you, the great director, to be with me?"
"Of course not."
On such a matter of principle, Nanaya would have to have his head hit by a hammer before he nodded.
"That's good."
Shion was very satisfied. She tilted her head towards the movie screen and said, "Let's start the battle now, my general."
"Yes, Your Majesty."
Nanaya bowed to Shion.

As a long-term journalist cooperating withWashimine, Ms. Katsushira can get two free tickets.
So she brought her new cameraman with her.
It’s not that Miss Katsushira has any ideas about this young man, but because countless colleagues in the magazine hope to have the opportunity to attend the premiere.
Everyone was very interested in accompanying their magazine's star reporter to such a grand premiere event.
However, the focus of the male colleagues was on accompanying Miss Katsushira, while the focus of the female colleagues was on attending this grand event.
Miss Katsushira, who is single, does not have a convenient cover like a boyfriend. So when there are too many people begging her and it is not easy to refuse anyone, Miss Katsushira directly uses work as an excuse to get the photographer under her to join.
If the novel had this cameraman as the protagonist, he should have taken this opportunity to watch a movie together and started a heart-shattering love affair with Miss Katsushira.
It is a story about lovers who finally become brother and sister after going through 81 difficulties.
It’s a pity that this cameraman is just a minor character who doesn’t even have a name.
Moreover, this silly guy has always been thinking about hooking up with a little star by using his identity as a reporter, and he has no idea about the beautiful senior next to him.
Maybe that's why Miss Katsushira brought this guy out.
Look, after this guy sat down, the thing that interested him most was the pair of 3D glasses in his hand.
"Katsushika-senpai, how effective do you think these glasses are? Won't the effect be improved in the end, and instead make the eyes blind?"
"Anyway, the effect is much greater than you think."
Miss Katsushira, who had already experienced the realistic screen experience at the preview, seemed a little dissatisfied with her younger brother's skeptical tone.
"Really?"
The cameraman scratched his head and replied, "My impression of 3D movies is still at the stage of red and blue eyes. This kind of black glasses is the first time I have seen."
"I'm telling you, as someone in the film and entertainment industry, you should at least know some basic common sense, right?"
Miss Katsushira held her forehead and said, "This kind of 3D technology has been around for a long time. The movie The Polar Express a few years ago already had an IMAX 3D version, and the 3D technology they used at the time was this."
"But I heard that movie got a mediocre rating."
Seeing the innocent smile on the little brother's face, Miss Katsushira's forehead was already covered with crosses.
"Because the film still has huge technical flaws, and the plot is also very problematic, which led to the film's average reviews. But!"
Miss Katsushira exclaimed: "This is still a great attempt, because this movie provides technical ideas and explorations for later 3D movies. And FZ, which we are going to see now, is a practical application of 3D technology based on it."
"Is it so amazing? I didn't know it."
Looking at the silly cameraman, Miss Katsushira couldn't help but ask if this guy is here to be a supporting actor?
[Forget it, after this idiot sees the movie, he will know what visual shock is. ]
In fact, it's not just the person next to her. Miss Katsushira has seen several ordinary viewers feel curious and worried about this 3D mode.
Except for a few European emperors who have nothing to do, the vast majority of the audience who can come to grab the box office of the premiere are supporters of the Fate series.
Therefore, what these audiences discussed the most was the movie that was about to be released, and all the audiences were looking forward to the release of this movie.
Apart from the content directly related to the FZ movie, the only thing left is the issue of the 3D glasses in hand.
The concept of 3D movies is not new, and red and blue 3D movie technology has long been used in television production.
But just like all new technologies are not perfect, the red and blue 3D technology has big problems and no viewer's eyes can sustain it for too long.
After the initial novelty period, the audience's concept of 3D movies basically turned into contempt.
Everyone has always thought that this is just a gimmick, and many people have even begun to boycott 3D movies, believing that this is just a device made by evil scientists to blind people's eyes.
Therefore, these audiences who have never experienced a real 3D movie are curious, excited and worried about the 3D version of the FZ movie.
Will this be a groundbreaking work, or will it still use the 3D gimmick as in the past?
With these questions in mind, everyone put on their glasses following the prompts from the theater broadcast and waited quietly for the movie to officially begin.
Then they were shocked by what happened before their eyes.
Just like the lucky people in the world who watched "The Arrival of a Train at the Station" on December 28, 1895.
A door called "3D movies" opened in the world of these viewers.
