Task 6.1 – The Lady’s Room

So, a few weeks ago I actually hung out with some of the people that I work with. To be honest I didn’t think anyone at work new I existed, let alone wanted me to join in with them. That’s until I went to a local nerdy bar, got drunk and one of the girls decided to plant one right on my lips. A shock to everyone as well as me since we had no idea, she liked girls and to them, no idea that I liked anyone at all. I was still thought of as the sheepish wallflower that no one knew anything really about. Although I guess with short hair, brings the cliché that I was probably a lesbian.
It was an eye opener for me to be honest, thinking that other women thought anything of me what so ever. I honestly thought my super power was my invisibility, I mean the fact that I was invisible until someone actually noticed me. The point is, I wanted more, I wanted to see if I went to a place where girls wanted well, girls, maybe they would want me as well.
I found a bar, pretty far away, even though I wasn’t living under my parents’ roof, I still didn’t want a reputation getting back to me. I honestly hope I eventually get over that, to be honest. I won’t say the name of the bar, but I will say, if you know what I’m talking about, you already know the name, wink wink.
A couple of weeks before I went, I bought a dress off of wicked temptations, it looked a little short in the picture, but thankfully being so short it came down to about mid-thigh on me, it had a zipper fully down the front which was used to bare as much as the wearer wanted and, in my case, was pulled all the way to the top just barely baring my collar bones. I decided to be a little naughty though and went without a bra and later decided to add the matching panties when I went out. I also decided no on the heels, I was going to a lesbian bar, women in comfortable shoes seemed obvious and put on a pair of my chucks. I’m not sure how black club dress went with punk looking grunge shoes but it felt like they worked for me.
On the drive there I really thought of the risks of going alone or how awkward I was and how hard it was going to be to socialize with people, but I didn’t really know anyone that I could open up to about these things and would have been my wing woman. A few times I did think about just turning around and calling it a night as well, but didn’t want another task punishment for chickening out.
Before I knew it, it was getting pretty dark and I was at the bar, it took every ounce of courage to get out of my car and head in. I was always the worse when it came to school dances and even more so to the few parties I actually went to, even though they were thrown by my friend Zach. I felt a little awkward at first since most of the women I saw looked comfy in tank tops, jeans, polo shirts, not a single dress in the crowd. I felt like I had just shown up to the wrong party or wore white to an all red dance.
“I need a drink,” I figured if anything, liquid courage would get me through the next hour, let alone the rest of the night.
The bar was somewhat packed and I realized it was already 8, I didn’t think how far away this place was from me till I finally looked at my watch. I put my hand up, but being as short and quiet as I was, the bartender wasn’t going to be hearing me anytime soon. The night was not starting out too well and I was very much thinking about just heading home.
“Hey, want a drink?” I heard a voice say, than I felt a tap on my shoulder, “want a drink?”
I turned around to and had to look up, the girl was much taller than me, short, very short hair, she was wearing a Ramones shirt, skinny jeans and was just smiling me as I felt like a deer in the headlights.
“Are you ok?”
“Um, yeah, just, uhhh,” I was blushing at this point, I wasn’t sure why I was embarrassed, but I really was.
“First time?”
“Uh, yeah, how could you tell?”
“We’ve all been there, what do you want?”
“Something strong, and sweet…”
“I meant to drink,” she gave me another smile, put her hand on my shoulder and giggled.
“I haven’t been to very many bars, um, surprise me.”
“Hey toni!” she waved one of the servers over and said something and within a few minutes my drink arrived.
I gave it a sip and was shocked that it was fruity and a little spiced, it was definitely doing the trick and giving me the courage, I needed, “hey thanks, what is this?”
“Pussy juice,” I gasped and put a hand over my mouth which caused her to laugh, “the drink, not actual, pussy juice.”
“I mean it tastes good,” I felt like a school girl who wasn’t old enough to be here.
“I’m Kim by the way, and you beautiful?”

A women moved back and gave me a little shove, nearly causing me to spill my drink, but Kim had a hand ready to catch me just in case I fell, “come with me, it can get a little crazy here when the watering hole opens.”
She took my free hand without even asking and walked me over to the wall. I’d never been handled like this before, by a man or a woman and something about it felt kind of exciting. Her hand was so smooth and yet firm at the same time and as we walked it felt like her thumb was stroking mine. We got to the wall next and she pulled out a high chair that wasn’t being used.
“Here, um, take a seat,” she said leading me to the chair, raising my hand, guiding me to sit in it as she twirled me around and almost lifted me up onto it, standing in front of me.
I closed my legs, feeling the breeze between my legs, even in the dimly lit bar, I didn’t want to be that girl blatantly exposing myself to everyone.
“Are you hot or nervous?”
I looked up at her confused, “um nervous I guess, why?”
“You keep playing with the zipper on your dress,” I looked down realizing that I was fidgeting with it without even knowing I was.
“I mean it’s a pretty dress, and you have a great body, why did you zip it up all the way?”
“Just kind of shy I guess; I don’t normally dress like this.”
“You did say it was your first time, did you just come out or something, or did you just move here, what’s your story?”
I took another sip of my drink, “maybe, I guess, I don’t know.”
She laughed and looked at me, “you don’t know your own story?”
“What’s yours than Ms. Expert.”
“Well,” she told me how she knew she kind of liked girls since high school, her best friend was one of her first crushes. One night, during their senior year they decided to take a little break from studying and have a drink from her father’s liquor cabinet. She said they both got a little drunker than they wanted and her friend took a shot of vodka in her mouth and pressed her lips up to hers and let her drink it right out of her mouth.
She got closer to me, her hand was on my right leg as she kept telling me the story. That for a second it was awkward, that they didn’t know what the other was doing or wanted, her fingers very, very gently stroking the bare top of my leg. She took my drink, and put it down on the table close by, stepping between my legs, leaning over, “have you kissed a girl yet?”
“Um, just one, kind of, we were both kind of drunk and,” she leaned forward and before I could react, her lips pressed again mine, when the sudden shock of a stranger kissing me wore off, all I could focus on was the warmth of her lips, how soft they felt against my own, the slight wetness and how it felt as she kissed me and pulled back.
“Well now, you really have.”
“I, uh, I uh, I uh, wow, um thank you.”
She laughed, I didn’t realize her hands were on my legs holding her up, her fingers gently squeezing me.

“Kind of shocking but, well, wow,” my brain wasn’t forming words, I wasn’t sure if it was the drink or what she was doing to me or both, but it felt like I was slowly melting to her touch.
“You want to know what happened with my friend?”

She told me how her friend ended up staying the night, they often shared her bed since it wasn’t a big deal, but this time something was different.
