As for how to find Kuma...
Vir simply raised his hand and pulled out one of his toys.
A red dot was moving across the screen.
That’s right.
It was Kuma.
Unless something went wrong, he was currently heading toward Vegapunk’s location.
As for the reason—of course, it was to completely erase what was left of his consciousness.
With Saturn's orders, not even Vegapunk had a say in the matter.
The tracker showed Kuma wasn’t too far from the Sabaody Archipelago.
If Vir opened a long-range spatial door now, he’d definitely catch up.
But it would take two jumps.
Two long-distance teleportations in a row.
His stamina would be nearly drained.
He was already exhausted when he returned to the ship earlier.
Doing this twice in succession?
He’d definitely hit his limit.
And Kuma wouldn’t be alone.
There had to be someone escorting him, to prevent escape.
Akainu wouldn’t bother with a chore like that.
This was the kind of grunt work that Uncle Kizaru would definitely snatch up.
If he was there, and Vir went in with no energy reserves... it’d be dangerous as hell.
He might just get wrecked.
But hey, that wasn’t a big deal.
Not when he had the cheat-tier ability of sit-ups (instant recovery).
Why teleport directly onto their ship?
After a short breather, he’d be right back on his feet.
Problem solved.
He didn’t even need to do much.
Just jam a USB straight into Kuma’s brain—brute force style.
Didn’t even matter if it broke something.
Because broken things could be fixed, right?
He was a professional at maintena—ahem, healing.
Plug and run.
Job done, vanish.
Let Uncle Kizaru stew in frustration.
Or if Kizaru felt chatty, maybe they could sit down for tea.
Talk about the current global situation.
Discuss the direction this war was heading in.
All doable, right?
And honestly?
Uncle Kizaru might just go along with that.
After all, if he couldn’t catch Vir alone, he wouldn’t bother with a pointless fight.
Wouldn’t lazing around with tea be way more enjoyable?
"Um... Vir. Big Brother."
A voice suddenly came from behind him.
Bonney stood there, looking a bit anxious and awkward.
Vir turned around without expression, giving her a flat look.
“What?”
Bonney hesitated, but eventually summoned her courage.
"You... you’re friends with my dad, right? Can you save him? I think... I think someone’s controlling him.”
“Oh? How do you know he’s being controlled?”
Vir raised an eyebrow in curiosity.
“H-He wasn’t like this before! Now he runs away when he sees me. If I weren’t in danger, he wouldn’t even show up!”
“He must be under someone’s control. Otherwise, he’d never avoid seeing me. He doesn’t even answer my calls. There’s definitely... definitely something wrong...”
Her voice began to tremble as she spoke, tears welling up.
“It’s... it’s gotta be the Marines! They must’ve forced him to become a Shichibukai!”
By now, the girl’s eyes were completely red.
The memory of Kuma blocking that deadly punch for her... the image of him sending her away with a single slap... kept flashing through her mind.
She didn’t know why...
But she felt that after this, she might lose her father forever.
So, she worked up the courage to plead with the person she feared most—Vir.
To ask him to save her father.
That’s right. Even Akainu, who had nearly killed her, wasn’t as scary as Vir.
Bonney looked at Vir, eyes full of hope.
But he ignored her completely, still focused on fiddling with his device.
He had to pinpoint the exact coordinates to make sure his landing zone was safe.
Seeing his indifference, Bonney grew increasingly anxious.
“Why aren’t you saying anything...?” she asked, voice trembling.
Still, Vir didn’t respond.
After that, Bonney didn’t speak for a long time.
Vir was perfectly happy with the silence.
Soon, he finalized everything based on the tracker’s readings.
All he had to do now was open a door at the exact distance and direction, and he’d appear five kilometers ahead of their ship.
That distance was enough for his sit-up recovery to kick in.
Just as Vir was about to open a portal and leave—
“If you save my father—I... I’ll do anything you want!”
Bonney’s voice rang out again—but this time, it wasn’t her usual tone.
Vir turned in surprise.
Standing there was a voluptuous beauty, blushing shyly at him.
Huh?!
Vir’s brain short-circuited.
What the hell?!
Robin, watching from nearby, saw everything.
This bastard...
He pushed the little girl to this point!
What a scoundrel!
But she wasn’t worried Vir would accept.
A guy like him?
Even if you locked him in a room full of women, he’d spend the whole time thinking about how to heal them.
Completely hopeless.
Vir stared at Bonney, utterly baffled by her seduction attempt.
Seriously? This was way too much.
What the hell is this? She’s still a minor!
That’s a crime!
“Hey! Who the hell taught you that, you brat?!”
Vir snapped, tone harsh.
“D-Don’t look down on me! I’m a pirate with a 100-million bounty!”
“I’ve... seen and heard things on the seas...”
Bonney’s voice trailed off as her face turned red with embarrassment.
Vir raised a hand and—
WHACK!
He smacked her (adult) head with a loud thwack.
“Ow!” She clutched her head in pain.
Vir barked, face fierce:
“If your brain’s not working, I’d be happy to give you a lobotomy!”
“A little brat like you, trying to seduce me?! You think you’re on my level?! Shameless! High-class me with low-class you?!”
“Quit learning this garbage! Get lost! One more word and I’ll dig your brain out!”
Bonney opened her mouth to argue—
THUD!
Vir kicked her square in the butt, sending her flying.
Then he opened a spatial door and vanished.
Right before leaving, he told Robin:
“Keep an eye on this idiot! No idea what’s going on in her head! I’m going to find Kuma—back soon.”
And with that, he disappeared.
Robin looked at the now-curvaceous Bonney lying next to her and sighed.
As expected.
She let out a chuckle and helped Bonney to her feet.
Bonney glanced down at herself and muttered, pouting:
“It’s not that small...”
But when she heard Vir say he was going after Kuma, she grinned.
Hehe~ It worked after all~
Maybe he’s not so scary~
