“How did you know?” Apexus wondered, happy to continue the conversation. Anything to continue his emotional display training.
“You don’t strike me the sort that would visit the Trickster’s Tower, so I took a wild guess between the Lemyr Crater and the dungeon,” the tailor explained with a shrug. Both places that he mentioned were some of the god-placed landmarks on the Leaf that weren’t dungeons but still could be of interest to an adventurer. The trio, with their defined goals, had no interest in sightseeing.
There was silence in the room for a little bit, as the tailor placed a robe on the table and checked on its status. As a fully dedicated craftsman, he created clothes in his spare time. Either to have something to sell immediately or to keep his skills sharp. What he currently held was more an overcoat than a robe, and of a simple grey colour.
“Put this on for me, would you?” the tailor requested and handed it over to his customer.
While the size was about right, there were some structural issues. “It doesn’t close properly in front of the chest,” Apexus stated, pulling at the v-shaped cut-out on his chest. There was only a single band that kept the robe in place, bound around the slime’s waist. “Same for the legs.”

“That would be improper,” Aclysia said.

“I suppose I might as well get a full set,” Apexus said and looked to Aclysia for confirmation. He wasn’t psyched about it. Robes were a lot more comfortable because of how loose and easily removed they were.
“That would likely be wise indeed,” Aclysia conceded. “Please adjust the robe. We’ll buy two fitting shirts and pants along with it.”
“As long as you pay me,” the tailor shrugged and got to work.
After they were done there, Apexus could move through the town’s streets without feeling like he was besieged by string. It was a moderately sized town, the kind that supplied all of the necessary gear for smaller villages in the area and for travellers coming through. While there was steady movement on the cobblestone roads, there was nothing in terms of a true crowd. The majority of the people around were standard humans, in contrast to the mostly wood elven population in the north of the Leaf.
They continued their shopping spree for several more hours. Reysha needed new pants to compliments the red shoes and snake-skin top she had gotten in the dungeon. Almost more important was that she got a new belt to secure her daggers, axe and throwing knives on. A new Adventurer’s Bag followed suit, as did some other tools that she had lost in the dungeon. With the necessities out of the way, the group decided to replace some of the worn out cloths and such little things. They also sold everything they no longer needed in the process.
It was a long list of changes in their inventory.
