The Gamer Chapter 1052 – Christmas Back 2 – Momo got back

Scarlett couldn’t help making a remark, “Is this the returning season or something?”
“I suppose there has to be something to the Christmas spirit,” John responded swiftly and put all of his clothes on. The button made this an immediate affair and he looked at everyone else on the couch. Questioning gazes were exchanged, as they waited for someone to voice the obvious question. In the end, John did. “Well, are you coming along?”
“Ya should just go ahead,” Rave answered in her semi-elected role as first of the harem. “Would take us longer to get dressed than it would take ya to get there. No need to make her wait.”
“Gotcha.” John nodded and turned to the door. “Love you!”
“”Love you too!”” it echoed back from the room, sometimes with different variations of the words and in wildly different tones, but all around with honesty in their wonderful voices.
John almost stumbled over Copernicus on the way out. The solar feline had elected to sleep next to the door for some reason and tune out of the ongoings. His hiss turned quiet pretty quickly and he rolled out of the way to let John pass. Likely a quick mental communication with Rave had gotten him up to speed.
Continuing out the door, John walked with hasty steps, even ran the straightest stretches of the corridor. Soon, albeit not soon enough by his standards, he had reached the teleportation pad on the roof. With it, he could teleport over to the airport, where he then left the barrier and checked his phone again.
Momo had attached a picture to her message, naming the checkout aisle she was at and a map of where to find it. To a normal person, that map would have been of little help. Airports had a bad habit of being labyrinthine and this one was no different. However, John had the advantage of being a frequent visitor. Even if his brilliance would have failed him between the crowds and the vastness of the structure, experience would have brought him to his goal.
He jogged until one of the officials around stopped him. “Hey, no running in the airport!” the man instructed, grabbing the distracted Gamer by the arm. He would have simply run past otherwise.
It took John all of his Wisdom to not tear himself away and keep going. Brushing the man aside, a seasoned security guard (even an ex-military, as Observe told the ever-wary Gamer), would have been as easy for him as it was for mundane people to clip their toenails. That was a question she would have to answer.
Wrestling down the urge to remove the hurdle the primitive way, John smiled softly. “I’m sorry, Sir. I’m just about to meet someone incredibly important to me.”
The official softened visibly upon hearing that. Whether that was due to the reasonable tone or the story was difficult to say. It was more than likely the former. This was their job, and as much as they may have been happy for strangers, as a security guard one always had to be ready to deal with people who were unnecessarily confrontational – which in return made them more confrontational. This one evidently knew when that act could be dropped.
“Same story every year on Christmas,” he joked. “There’s a lot of you running around and if you run into any of them, that’ll slow things down. So, keep it to a quick walking pace and keep your eyes peeled.”
“Sure thing.” John nodded understandingly.
Knowing that any more words would fail to leave an additional impression and having other places to be, the security guard let go of John’s arm. For his part, the Gamer heeded the advice and merely walked as quickly as he thought he could get away with to his destination.
The security guard had been completely right. All around were busy people, greeting their loved ones with hugs and kisses. Families that lived in a neighbouring city, partners in a long-distance relationship that came to see each other, friends that had moved into another state or overseas coming over to see them for the first time in forever, all of them were around and their reunions filled the air with merriment. Among them, John spotted Momo easily. She could qualify as any of the three for him.
She was family, in the sense that he had brought her into existence with the Artificial Spirit Skill, but he didn’t at all see himself as her father. It would have been weird for both of them if he did and he didn’t think it would be the right way to think about their relationship anyway. He certainly never thought of her as his daughter and she had never demanded of him any kind of parental role. He had created her, but he hadn’t raised her. The line was blurry, but it also had never been crossed.
She was a long-distance lover of some variety, though this wasn’t accurate either. They had slept with each other and Momo had certainly liked being with him, even if she hadn’t liked being attached to his mind without any say in the matter. They had their rare sexual moments even while they were apart and there had definitely been flirting. She had insinuated she would like to be part of his harem again, but never stated it outright. The exact nature of their relationship remained obscured.
She was a friend, doubtlessly. Her snide remarks and sass sometimes made strangers doubt that, but that was just the way Momo expressed herself. If nothing else, John knew that the two of them had been more than acquaintances and less than romantically engaged. They were friends, good friends who could talk about everything.
This intangible status of their relationship hung in the air, as he approached her. Momo had already spotted him as well. Her eyes, which were naturally white with a black outline, were of a mundanely acceptable green at the moment. Her hair she kept white; unusual as that was, it was also passable in the days of fancy hair dye. Front and back were wildly differing in length. The strands around her face, sharply cut towards the ends, barely reached below her chin, and straight bangs covered her forehead. At the back, her hair extended all the way to her butt. Shortly before the tips, her hair was bundled up in an iron ring.
That long hair was one of the two changes John had previously noticed. The other one, the size of her butt, she had also maintained. Her hips were wider, the juiciness that stretched out her hotpants more notable. They were a stylish white and paired up with black stockings to be presentable in the cold weather. It was a mouth-watering combination. Her shoes were plain and white.
Like always, she wore a poncho over her top. It was black, with white cords dangling in front of her flat chest. When she carefully waved at him, she revealed arms covered in black gloves, a gap appearing between them and the tank top she wore. She was testing the limits of what people thought could be comfortable in this season.
More than that, John noticed the oddly cautious way with which she greeted him. It made him stop before her, without a hug. “H-hi, John,” she stammered, just a little bit. Her bright pink lips, a colour normal women would only be able to achieve with lipstick, rose seductively from the pale skin of her cute, round face. “Been a while… yeah?”
“You could say that.” John was amused by her bashful display. He could guess that she was just as uncertain about the current state of their relationship as he was. Well, now that they were so close to each other, he could have read her Observe sheet, but he didn’t want to employ that direct tool until he had talked to her. He did have some minor moral concerns about it. As far as he was concerned, Observe was an extension of his ability to read people. It was part of his skillset, after all, and he could use it just like he could use his eyes, ears and, to an extent, even his nose to tell how people were feeling.
However, he recognized that it could be seen as rude. It was somewhere between the way people normally spoke to each other and checking someone’s phone without their permission. There was definitely room to say that it was improper to use it to read someone’s emotions. In this particular case, John just wanted both of them to figure things out in their own time, without Gaia writing something out she knew but they didn’t.
“You look good,” the Gamer picked up, speaking like he normally would. “Bit revealing for the season.”
“Yeah… well…” Momo rolled her eyes, “I spent the better part of the year flying around Islamic dictatorships and dictatorships in Islamic majority countries. I’ll enjoy not having to cover up for a minute.”
“I like it.” John grinned.
Momo simultaneously blushed and crossed her arms. “Of course you do. As if you learned not to salivate about anything remotely bottom-heavy in the last few months.”
“You are more than a little bottom-heavy,” John remarked, looking over her figure once again. She was slender and clearly widened towards the hips. That she had pushed that to the attractive extreme after she got her independence and before she had gotten into contact with him again spoke to her own sexual tastes.
“Full disclosure, it’s way easier picking up a lesbian if you got a nice ass.”
“You have a lot of experience with that?”
“Not a lot, but a fair bit now, I’d say. Probably less than your girls.”
“Well, that depends,” John hummed.
Momo raised one of her eyebrows; they were just as white as her hair and broader than that of the average woman, in a cute way. “Depends on what?” she asked.
“Do you mean sexual experience or flirting experience?”
“Both.”
“This may surprise you, but my girls don’t actually flirt that much outside the harem.”
“Nah, you’re playing me. They’d take every excuse they can to sleep elsewhere.”
“Oh please, you should know better than to question whether I can satisfy them or not.” John crossed his arms and stared with playful grimness.
“With your pride issues, they probably fake it so you can sleep at night,” Momo mocked and made a tossing gesture. At this point, all bashfulness had been replaced by the back and forth they had always excelled in. In that way, it was like she had never left. “They’ll probably have an easier time flirting than me, tits help too.”
“You kept the flatness though.”
“And I will continue to do so, thank you very much,” Momo returned flippantly. “I like my small bitties too much to get rid of them. Disappointed?”
“Variety is the spice of life, so not at all.”
“What if you won’t get to taste this though?” Momo asked, gesturing at herself.
That was the best invitation he would get to push the envelope and John took another half-step forwards, reducing the distance between them to basically nothing. “Won’t I?”
The blush returned rapidly. “Good question…” she muttered.
“I thought you had found your resolution?”
“Yeah, but then I reconsidered and re-reconsidered… Come on, you know how it is to be an overthinker. I should’ve just stuck with my original commitment to decide when I see you again…”
John made an amused expression. “Well, you’re seeing me right now, aren’t you?”
“I’m also hearing that you still use ‘well’ in every fifth sentence.”
“We all have our verbal tics, you sassy minx.”
“I have none whatsoever, I’m just eloquent.”
“Nonsense, you have a giant verbal tic: dodging the topic at hand.”
“That’s not- ahhhh,” she let out a long sigh. “Whatever… I know what you’re getting at, you giant bully dick… Hey, uhm… t-tell me again, what were the four steps of our reunion you wanted to go through?”
“I wanted to hug you, the rest was contingent on whether or not you would lean in to kiss me,” the Gamer told her. “The kiss would be the second step. Then I would scoop you up and carry you princess style back home. Lastly, well,” he bowed down to whisper into her ear, “you know the kind of insatiable I am.”
“Don’t I?” Momo shook her head and then suddenly wrapped her arms around John. “Let’s start with this,” she mumbled and pressed herself against him.
John reciprocated swiftly. What started with just holding her in a deep embrace quickly transformed into holding her with as much delicacy and firmness as he dared. Although his hands stayed above the waistline, he realized from the way her hands clawed into his jacket that this was more important to her than him. She had loved her life out there, exploring and finding things. Still, this was the first hug, the occasional hook-up aside, she must have had in about a year.
Prolonging this was nothing he could ever regret. She was tall, not quite as tall as Aclysia and Beatrice, but still tall for a woman, at 1,78 metres. She was slender and fit nicely between his shoulders and his arms. There was only a little bit of squishiness between them, the merest hint of breasts. Her hair smelled of books, ancient dust and sand. John wondered how long she must have rummaged through ancient structures and libraries that this smell stuck to her beyond a shower and a flight. It wouldn’t survive much longer, now that she was back. The Gamer took it in, as proof of all the things she had experienced in the independence she had desired and needed.
“You’re a bigger person now than you could have been had you stayed with me,” he whispered to her. “Whatever else you decide to do from here on out won’t change that. Love me, work for me, stay over the holidays and then head out again, you have the freedom to choose any of it.”
“Am I truly free to love who I want?” Momo mumbled.
“As free as any of us.” John couldn’t help but chuckle softly, swaying with her between his arms. “Which honestly isn’t always particularly free. At best, you love who you decide to get close to. Usually, you get to make the difficult decision whether the person who struck you is good for you beyond satisfying your desires. That’s just the human experience, I’m afraid.”
“…I guess total free will isn’t a thing…” Momo hummed.
“Not for us physical beings,” John said and backed off just enough that they could look at each other. “There’s benefits to that though.”
“Incredible,” she shook her head, without ever averting her gaze, “you would trade in freedom for some pleasure.”
“I’m just accepting the hand of reality I was dealt. I’m an actor in the real world, not a theoretical construct of will and will alone. There’s no shame in integrating one’s desires into one’s personality, only in becoming more animal than you need to be.” John stopped swaying and waited for her to make up her mind silently. They were practically alone now at this exit terminal, a short lull between flights. The only people around were employees too busy or experienced to care about the two lovers staying around.
“You need to stop talking so much during these moments,” Momo suddenly chastised him and then leaned up, lips invitingly puckered.
With no doubt in his heart, John bowed down and kissed her. It started with a simple contact of lips on lips, but quickly escalated into more. Their tongues met carefully, then boldly, their wishes to taste each other manifest. Like all AS, she had a hint of metal in her saliva. Otherwise, she was faintly sweet. The smell of old books was stronger than her taste, leathery and dusty in a nostalgic and pleasant way. It did tickle his nose, but not enough that he had to sneeze.
Now making out fully, John no longer dared to hold back and let a hand travel down. He cupped a full feel of her round ass. The hot pants and stockings made that an almost naked experience, the faux-flesh feeling almost like the genuine product. Her soft bits were still silicone, as she had opted out before the Metadermis Perk had become available. The difference was minor, not nearly as pronounced as the fact that she did not have her own body heat.
Momo pulled back and sighed. “They say absence makes the heart grow fonder… but still… didn’t think I would… ya know… do that while we were apart.” She blushed and averted her gaze again.
“Do what?” John hummed.
“You know, the thing,” Momo grumbled.
“Sorry, but as you like to point out every so often, I’m an overly intellectual idiot. Can you spell it out for me?”
“Dick.”
“Yes.” John raised one hand to the sky and said, “Let’s go home. You can think of the right words on the way, alright?”
Momo nodded and together they entered the Hudson Barrier. “Alri- What the fuuu?”
“10 out of 10, needs braiding!” Kyonchi, this time possessing some kind of seal, sailed from whatever corner shop he had manifested in at Momo. The encounter was over as quickly as it began. No sooner had the Fluffsider made contact with the Artificial Spirit’s hair, than the long back of it turned into a perfect braid. “My job here is done, other waifus need me!” he declared and the plushie fell over.
“…Right…” Momo looked, flabbergasted, at the plushie. “CAN YOU STOP LAUGHING?!” she shouted at John, who was almost keeling over one step away from her.
He was really struggling to stop. Having known this was coming, he couldn’t help but get a kick out of Momo’s various reactions. Her surprised face, then her annoyance, and now her adorable pouty anger, they all only furthered the Gamer’s glee.
“I can’t believe you!” Momo grumbled.
“You don’t have to believe in me, I’m right here,” he responded with a last series of chuckles. She turned away from him, arms crossed. The attempt to signify her anger only made her more desirable and John scooped her off her feet and got her in the princess carry. When she looked at him again, her eyes were back to their natural white. “Let’s go home.”
“…Yes,” Momo agreed.
