Could explain the negative mana thing. Could also be that there may be something that will suddenly pay attention or that there really is something fundamentally bad about negative mana.

hi, thanks for the chapter typo had come he for he-->here

David

Magic as a framed structure, a tool, a means of interacting with a physical object to us. But as different as weaving the wind with our thoughts. While we only see the effect of this on something like a field of tall grass as the wind passes over it. Carlos and Amber have gained a means and "experience" to manipulate management outside the box that is this provided structure. My bet is that most average mages do not leave this box. The good to great mages of. Generation leave this boundary without knowing it, or use the "corners" rather than coloring without reaching the lines/boundaries. The TRULY incredible and age defining mages, they color outside the lines. I think that the knowledge out main characters have received is outside the box, and will inform their direction moving forward, helping make them great.

Douglas Miller

In theory... maybe. They'd be really really bad at it, though.

Connor Mcharg

…wait, doesn't this technically mean that Carlos and Amber could grant wishes? …and teleport, once they get a lot more mana to throw away on it?

Manuel Wolf

I wonder if that ability allows them to mess with already cast spells from others, or if it is limited to unowned mana

Carl Mason

Good information for Purple, though. If he doesn't already know it. I expect much of it will be new, given that Purple is less developed and advanced than the other dungeon.

Markell

Being able to use the raw power of mana to weave effects directly into reality? That’s not useless… that’s being able to make your own macros or building a brand new programming language from the ground up. Better yet, create a high level programming language that allows you to prototype or run scripts without compiling them.

SylviaTheThrid

Or maybe potentially use the raw mana manipulation in combination with the sign bug to find a way to use the mana from "nothing"?

Dylan m

from the ending it sounds like humans are not suited to manipulate the mana the way dungeons do; however, the knowledge could still prove useful if not in this manor then for understanding magic effects, and maybe understanding and seeing through dungeon magic. Also would be interesting to see if they can share or teach this to purple if there are any bits he dose not know yet. Plus i assume summoning/making monsters is dungeon core magic, would this mean they now know/can make monsters? mix the glitch spell with this knowledge of how to manipulate raw mana what can you do?

Connor Mcharg

I wonder if this new ability might still help them compress their souls faster? Lorvan did mention last chapter that if he wrested control of the mana from the dungeon, he'd be able to absorb mana faster than usual (though that would make the dungeon more actively hostile), but if Carlos and Amber can do dungeon mana stuff *without* a dungeon…

Darkarma

I wonder if the current system was from another isekai'r who made wish to make life easier from anyone and used gamer powers as model for that.

Chris Brown

I get the feeling that this knowledge of how dungeons use mana is going to come in very handy in the future. Extrapolating from Carlos's earlier theories, I would guess that dungeon cores use mana in the 'old' method, from before when the current system was overlaid on it. The current system for humans seems to be a lot more structured and easier to use for specific functions, at a cost of being more rigid.

Chris Brown

Or it just wants to be left alone. I get the idea that cores are just as different as people are, and this could just be an anti-social core. The 'spiky' look seems indicative of a thorny personality.

Josh

Wow, that dungeon core was *hostile*. What could have happened to it to make it that way? It doesn't seem like that would be the default natural state of a dungeon core; did years of wishing make it this way, or some other trauma, or something else entirely?

Josh

I wonder if this new knowledge of mana manipulation might give more insight into what's happening when they use the sign bug to extract mana from "nothing"?
