We have a new engine for the game!
🕑 Added 2019-05-28 13:38:55 +0000 UTCAs you may remember from the last post, we finally have decided to change the engine we were using to accommodate one of the most demanded features that we received: add multiple slots save system. It was a tough decision to make because that meant that Chapter1 would had a different engine than the rest of the chapters, so we faced a critical decision:
a. Redo the Chapter1 using the new engine, which will delay Chapter2.
b. Let the Chapter1 works as a demo/introduction of the game and start using the new engine with Chapter2.
We decided to go for option "B." We don't want to keep players waiting for the new chapter. From your side, you will only see improvements in Chapter2. We will have the new save system, an image album, and pretty much all ren'py features we can add, and of course, all the cool stuff you saw in Chapter1, as the achievement system so you can see if you miss something important!
And we are making good progress with this new engine. The script logic and dialogues draft are already completed. We just started Stage2, and we'd like to begin rendering next week. It all depends on the free time we can spend on this project.
We didn't forget about the update we mentioned last time: it's coming, but we need time to test the implementation correctly. Again, it's a matter of how much time we can use for this game.
Remember that only with your support, we can make this game happening!
