Portraits, Localization and UI
🕑 Added 2019-08-23 16:12:03 +0000 UTCHello! A new update in our devlog! These week we have been pretty busy with two main tasks:
- Adding portraits to the dialogues (In Progress).
- Implementing the UI (Almost done).
- Integrating the localization system.
Adding the Portraits
This is something tricky as we have to go through all the dialogues of the characters and assign the right reactions we want him/her to have. We will do some tweaks to some of the reactions that we think can be improved. And on top of that, some of those reactions will have special FXs as you could see in the last video preview. So it's quite a lot of work.
Implementing the UI and Localization
Implementing the UI was faster that we thought. As you know, we are switching engine, and that means bringing back the UI from the previous engine and adapt it when necessary. Fortunately, all the assets were already done, so it was a matter to integrate them.
And for the localization, we are already started to translate some of the texts and doing some coding to guarantee everything will work fine no matter the language you play.
Sorry for the short update, but the clock is ticking, and we still have much stuff to finish! In the next update, we will show you some of the new things we will have in the game!
