On difficulty and balance
🕑 Added 2023-09-26 20:58:20 +0000 UTCSince I've been asked quite a few times already, I'd like to address this:
My priority with Lustiest Lair does not lie with difficulty and balance.
....
W-woah, okay, pitchforks down, I promise I can explain myself! The goal of Lustiest Lair is to pornify the base game in a fun way - it is not intended as a hardcore experience.
This does not, however, restrict players from making it a hardcore experience. Darkest Dungeon has a wealth of mods that affect the difficulty and balance in a multitude of ways - if you find Lustiest Lair too easy an experience then there are plenty of options out there for making things more dick-twistingly difficult! Alternatively if you find Lustiest Lair too difficult and just want to have a simple faptastic game, there are options for making the game easier!
The point of Lustiest Lair is that it fills a niche. There are so many balance mods out there that devoting a great deal of time toward balance feels like a waste of time when others have done it so well before and so many times before - I'd rather focus on what the mod is about: The porn.
Now this does not mean I won't be addressing some balance problems. Some creatures need clear nerfing, some need clear buffing. I've been listening closely to the community on this, and I'm happy to listen to you too!
Are there any encounters or creatures or bosses that need to be tuned down or tuned up? Let me know in the comments <3
Kindest regards,
The Ancestress
