1.7a Hotfix: Crimson Softlock Fix
🕑 Added 2025-06-24 13:17:52 +0000 UTC1.7 has been updated with the following fixes:
Corrected a rare softlock that could occur if a crimson enemy is the only enemy remaining in the battle, and it attempts to use its grab move an a heroine without the crimson curse. It is a very specific scenario, but it was made more common by the way players try to leave captor enemies until last so they can see the animations. This is a problem with the way the engine handles certain AI exceptions, so to prevent the softlock the Crimson enemies won't use their grab move while they're the only enemy left.
Corrected a missing variable in the crimson AI that could also have been responsible for the softlock.
Remember: LLE is basically crash + softlock free at this point, but if for any reason (maybe another mod!) you ever get stuck in Darkest Dungeon, you can put -forcetown in your launch parameters to be kicked back to the hamlet safe and sound.
