---
Ada/Omar leans back in the chair, resting their elbow on the backrest with a deliberately bored expression.
"At my age? To make it to the next one," they answer indifferently.
"Oh, come on. Don't be so cynical. There must be something you're excited about, right?" you respond, hoping for some sign of enthusiasm. But they just shrug, completely uninterested.
"I want peace and happiness for everyone," Rayco/Gara says with a smile that lights up their face.
"So do I!" Albert/Lavina exclaims.
Ada/Omar scoffs, rolling their eyes. "Oh, come on. That's too generic. Don't you two want something more personal? Something you truly want for yourselves?"
"We could bake a couple of butter cookies to start the year off right," Enid suggests, licking her lips.
The sphere that is Althos/Arminda floats nearby. It glows a bright blue at the sound of the idea. "I like that proposal, holy spirit. I have fond memories of those crispy sweets."
In the dark corner of the room, Belicar/Nisa rolls their eyes, not bothering to hide their annoyance.
"I just want you all to shut up. Permanently," they mutter, their words laced with bitterness that seems to echo in the room.
Leire/Luca lets out a frustrated growl and pinches the bridge of their nose. "I can't believe I agree with the corrupted creature..."
Belicar/Nisa flashes a sharp smile, a spark of malice flickering in their yellow eye. "Look at that, an intelligent mortal."
"Belicar/Nisa, don't even think about it," you warn them firmly before they can even move from their stop to get closer to Leire/Luca.
The renegade celestial lets out a long sigh, their shoulders slumping in resignation. "Not even on New Year's can you relax, mortals..."
