I greatly enjoy Bembo but I totally missed his origin, I'm guessing it's somewhere in Jeph's twitter but I have no idea when it started.

Reminds one of the Perseus myth. King Polydectes had the hots for Perseus's mother, Danae. To get her dangerous son (fathered by Zeus) out of the way, he ordered Perseus to bring back the head of the Gorgon Medusa, whose eyes turned people to stone.. This was thought to be impossible, but Perseus does it, and on returning, turns the head toward Polydectes, killing him.
