That's technically the correct way to say it, yes, but idiomatically it's customary to omit the "ne". Learning french from a textbook doesn't at all prepare you for communicating with native speakers (but I suppose that's also true of most languages)

Other French speakers correct me, but I think in the the last panel Frenchnalore should be saying Je NE comprends pas les Americains.

So many people say "naan bread" which would be "bread bread" and that bugs me tooooo >_< Also idk if it's just me but masala chai at Indian restaurants always tastes not just better but like... more concentrated? less watered down? than at Starbucks. Am I imagining that?

Starbuck's abuse of other languages is terrible; as a tea drinker my peeve is "chai tea" - that literally just means "tea tea". What they're actually selling is masala chai.
