I think the third joke was that her answer itself was also in iambic pentameter. "Oh joyous day, you passed the test! You're hired." (Technically, in the order they appear in the panel, that would be the second joke, the first being Marten's question about the application itself, and the third being Tai's "Dewey Decimal System? Do we ever!" comment.)

Thinking about it, I seem to remember that Tai's secret was that no-one noticed that she had graduated and, in any case, she was good enough at the job that no-one wanted to rock the boat and maybe incur recruitment costs so long as she didn't too obviously drop the ball in some way.

Yes, Jeph has found out that he forgot a pretty important plot point when he started writing this arc. So, he's sort of trying to patch that problem and, in the process, probably made one of the funniest jokes he's managed in months!

I don't know for sure, but I think it's been at least a couple years. It's been over a year since Tai graduated, and she was still a student when he was hired. But I remember clearly how I got hired for my last two jobs, and that takes me back nearly 20 years. Not to mention that how Marten got the job at the library was a bit unorthodox, and thus even more memorable.
