All that happened before this strip feels now like a deep, interesting and beautiful story, but here it is over, and now something new has begun, something real and... alive.

I really love how Jeph uses 'Data-speak' for Bubbles - never use colloquialisms and never use one word when you can use five. It makes her funny but it also makes her identity as a Synthetic that much more authentic and believable.

These two are very, very sweet together, aren't they? Still, at least they're going into this without blinkers or rose-coloured lenses. Faye is a seriously messed-up kid and can't be honestly expected to make rational or even right decisions under pressure. Bubbles is equally messed up and, frankly, probably is making up 'social interaction' as she goes along. So, yeah, there are going to be some serious head-on crashes along the way.

Oh Dear God, I just realized something. Yes, the squees from all their friends will be deafening, but there's something we've all forgotten. HANNELORE DOESN'T KNOW YET. Hannelore, the biggest shipper of the group, is going to come back, with actual confidence and find out that Faye, one of her longest friends, and Bubbles her friend and "Favorite Customer" are together. That Squee will shatter the fabric of Reality.

As a mission statement, "I'm going to be dumb and weird and fuck up a lot" is pretty good. It makes it easy to exceed expectations.

I think the line she used on the helicopter was: "This is the last time you hover over ME while I am sunbathing!"

This is possibly the best QC I have read! I was so proud of Faye being open and sweet, then they kissed and then the punchline just came out of nowhere! I laughed out loud for a good minute! I think Bubbles' line has taken over as my favorite, which was previously Faye's "This rules ass!" Faybles was an amazing ride, well crafted and perfectly executed!

This is where the story is going to get really interesting for me. Yes, the drama of them admitting and acting on their feelings has been amazing. But now, the building of their relationships with all the ups and downs and trials and tribulations is going to be so much fun to watch. I also look forward to how this is going to change the dynamics of the relationships they already have with their friends, and how those people are going to change and adapt to this new dynamic.

I don't think they will need to "tell" anyone.
