This strip also answers the question from a while ago regarding where Melon lives in relation to Roko's apartment. Now I have this suspicion that they met when Roko had to come upstairs because of another one of Melon's "projects". Or maybe because <a href="https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=3644" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Arthur was cooking dinner</a>.

I don't think she knows the meaning of "inappropriate", so I doubt she would ever say it. Someone (probably Roko) likely told her long ago that she needed to use a socially appropriate greeting, and she took it literally.

And thermite burns white, not red. Although I suppose if the balance of metals were wrong, or if the volcano is made of metal, it could leave molten slag running down the sides like that.
