I have decided that Claire is taking the library special forces exam, in which she is charged with cataloging texts in untranslated ancient languages, devising LC call numbers for branches of knowledge that do not yet exist, telling which blue book with kind of swirly letters in the title a long-dead patron was looking for, tracking down the reclusive author Anonymous and finding out their real name, and parachuting into a burning library to retrieve a crucial archive. So far as she knows, this is the exam everyone takes. They won't let her know till it is time to activate her.

Oh, there are plenty even after school. I graduated a long time ago and have a certification exam at the end of the month that's 6 hours long with a break.

I'm just amazed she gets a break in the middle of an exam, to be honest. Unless it's a break between two different exams, then that makes sense. Poor Claire, I hope she does well. I enjoyed exams but they were still a headache to sit through. So many hours. So many horribly uncomfortable chairs...
